Seahawks LB Mychal Kendricks (ankle) is active for today's game against the Cowboys. He entered the day questionable but should be ready for his expected role. We'll see exactly what that means after he played 82% of the snaps last week in his 1st game with the team. Kendricks is a low-level IDP option at best.

Seahawks LB K.J. Wright will miss his 3rd straight game in Week 3 following knee surgery. Replacement Mychal Kendricks is questionable with an ankle issue. He popped onto the injury report after limited practices Thursday and Friday. We'll see about Kendricks' status Sunday. MLB Bobby Wagner's return to health makes him the Seattle LB to use.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner said he'll be ready to play Sunday against the Cowboys. Wagner missed Monday night's loss in Chicago with a groin injury despite playing every defensive snap in Week 1. We'll obviously watch to confirm that he'll be good to go, but IDP owners should expect to have the stud LB back in fantasy football lineups for Week 3.

The Seahawks have ruled MLB Bobby Wagner out for Monday night's game at Chicago. He missed practice all week with a groin injury. Weak-side LB K.J. Wright (ankle) will also miss his 2nd straight game. That leaves a potential tackle bonanza for rookie LB Shaquem Griffin. It also creates an attractive rushing setup for Bears RB Jordan Howard.

Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner and OLB K.J. Wright did not practice Friday because of injuries. Wright missed Week 1 following a preseason knee procedure. Wagner has a groin issue, despite playing every snap in the Week 1 loss to the Broncos. We'll see about their status following Saturday's practice, ahead of the Monday night game in Chicago.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports that Seahawks S Earl Thomas plans to report to the team Wednesday. Given the sparse depth at safety and Thomas' ability, we'd bet on him immediately regaining his starting job -- assuming he proves physically ready. Seattle's defense remains difficult to like, however, with Thomas returning 4 days before the season and so many other pieces gone through the offseason. We're not adjusting any Broncos passing-game pieces down on this news. For the season, of course, Thomas' presence should help the Seahawks' pass D. We'll see what the refurbished unit looks like on whole.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll says LB K.J. Wright will probably be out at least "a couple weeks," according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. Carroll called that "the most optimistic we could be." That timeline would put Wright on the sideline past the regular-season opener. We'll see as the game draws closer, but IDP owners should expect Wright to miss at least 1 game and quite possibly another. Rookie Shaquem Griffin figures to start as long as Wright's out.

Seahawks OLB K.J. Wright came away from Friday's game against the Vikings with a knee issue that required arthroscopic surgery. According to multiple reports, HC Pete Carroll said he doesn't know whether Wright will be ready for the regular-season opener. Losing Wright for any time would be just the latest ding for a defense that will look much different than the unit we've gotten used to. It would also, however, likely allow rookie Shaquem Griffin to start in Wright's place. Griffin sits behind Wright on the team's "unofficial" depth chart.

Seahawks DE Frank Clark revealed this week that he broke bones in both hands during the 2017 season. He said he passed on in-season surgery, which would have required an 8-10 week recovery period. Instead, Clark had surgery this summer and is "working hard to get back in action," HC Pete Carroll told the Tacoma News Tribune. Clark leads a dramatically altered Seattle D-line in a significantly reshaped defense. We'll see how soon he can get back to full participation before judging the potential impact on his IDP outlook. The Seahawks defense doesn't look draftable in common-sized fantasy football leagues.

Seahawks S Kam Chancellor announced Sunday that his neck injury is not allowing him to return to the field. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the safety has yet to formally retire. But Chancellor said in a lengthy Twitter post that it's "time for the next chapter." He has been out since last November with the neck injury. Seattle is sure to miss Chancellor but does already have Bradley McDougald, who started the final 9 games of 2017. If you're a DS Insider, then you might have already noticed that we had McDougald projected to start next to Earl Thomas this season (anticipating this scenario). McDougald looks like a big-time sleeper for IDP drafts this season.

Seahawks S Earl Thomas announced Sunday that he plans to skip the team's upcoming mandatory minicamp as well as "any team activities until my contract situation is resolved." Thomas is in the final year of his deal and has said he wants "certainty" beyond this season. He has also been the subject of trade rumors this offseason. We'll see how this situation plays out for 1 of football's best safeties.

Seahawks S Kam Chancellor missed the final 7 weeks of 2017 with a neck injury, an injury he apparently has yet to put behind him. According to John Boyle of Seahawks.com, Chancellor is "expected to have more tests later this summer" that might determine whether he can play in 2018. If Chancellor remains out, Bradley McDougald will present significant IDP upside as the SS in a defense that shed DL Michael Bennett, DT Sheldon Richardson, DE Cliff Avril and CB Richard Sherman this offseason. We'll see how this story develops.

Seahawks OLB K.J. Wright (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams. MLB Bobby Wagner (hamstring) will be a game-time decision. Wagner didn't practice all week and will be a risky play even if he's active. The potential absence of both every-down LBs certainly helps the fantasy outlook for Rams RB Todd Gurley.

The Seahawks apparently aren't counting on MLB Bobby Wagner or OLB K.J. Wright being ready for Sunday's clash with the Rams. HC Pete Carroll said Monday that Wagner -- who aggravated an hamstring injury -- to be a game-time decision at best, according to Pro Football Talk. Wright reportedly had a "good day" Monday following his Sunday concussion, lending optimism that he might be able to clear the protocol in time for Week 15. We'll keep an eye on both key IDP contributors this week. In the meantime, make sure you have alternate options in place. Wagner, in particular, sounds like he'll be risky even if active for the game.

Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner left Sunday's loss to the Jaguars with a hamstring injury. He had previously dealt with the same issue but has yet to miss a game for it this season. OLB K.J. Wright also left the game with a concussion. He'll obviously need to pass through the league protocol before returning to the field. We'll see about the status for each starter-level IDP as we get into Week 15.

Seahawks S Earl Thomas (heel) and MLB Bobby Wagner (hamstring) are active for Sunday night's game against the Eagles. Use both guys as you normally would in your IDP lineups.

Seahawks S Earl Thomas (heel) and MLB Bobby Wagner (hamstring) are questionable for Sunday night's game against the Eagles. Thomas returned to a full practice Friday after sitting out Thursday. Wagner also put in a full Friday workout after missing the previous 2 days. Both appear likely to play. Wagner played through his issue last week.

Seahawks S Kam Chancellor will miss the rest of the season because of the neck stinger he suffered in Week 10 at Arizona. "Beyond that, it's up to him," HC Pete Carroll said Monday during his weekly radio show on 710 ESPN Seattle. That means Bradley McDougald will continue to start next to FS Earl Thomas. McDougald posted 5 and 8 tackles the past 2 weeks in Chancellor's place. He's a DB3-level option in fantasy going forward. Carroll also said DE Cliff Avril will have "disc-related" surgery for the neck injury he suffered back on Oct. 1. We'll see what 2018 holds for both veterans, but dynasty owners shouldn't feel the need to cling to either.
