Seahawks CB Quinton Dunbar (knee) and DE Benson Mayowa (groin) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Mayowa would be a low-level IDP option even if active. Dunbar could see plenty of action vs. Dallas' high-powered WR corps. We'll update the status for each player Sunday.

Seahawks DE/OLB Bruce Irvin left in the 4th quarter of Sunday night's game against the Patriots with what looked like a right knee injury. It was a non-contact injury, and Irvin needed a lot of help from trainers to leave the field. We'll see about the diagnosis, but it doesn't look good for Irvin.

The Seahawks on Saturday acquired S Jamal Adams from the Jets. Seattle sent 1st-round picks in each of the next 2 drafts, a 3rd-round pick in 2021 and S Bradley McDougald for Adams and a 4th-rounder in 2022. That's a pretty shocking package for a safety, one of football's most fungible positions according to league salary averages. Adams, of course, ranks among the top players at the position. And he should continue to star in Seattle. Playing behind a stronger LB corps figures to ding his tackle upside, though. And the Seahawks aren't likely to have him rush the passer anywhere near as much as the Jets did last season. Adams garnered 101 pass-rushing chances in just 14 games, 2nd most among all safeties. Baltimore's Chuck Clark (106) was the only other safety to top 74 in that category. Seattle's entire safety group totaled 31 pass rushes. So don't expect Adams to come anywhere close to last season's 6 sacks. On the other side, S Bradley McDougald gains upside with the opportunity to take over Adams' spot. McDougald tallied top-20 fantasy finishes with the Bucs in 2016 and the Seahawks in 2018. He certainly carries that potential into 2020. We'll watch to make sure he wins the SS job with his new team. As for the team defenses, we're not adjusting the numbers on either unit for this trade.

The Seahawks picked Tennessee DE Darrell Taylor in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft. Taylor offered nice production over his final 2 college seasons, including 21 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks. He particularly ramped up his performance in 2019. Pro Football Focus credited Taylor with 53 total pressures across his 1st 3 seasons at Tennessee; 44 in 2019 along. His 87.0 pass-rushing grade ranked 18th nationally among EDGE players with at least 100 pass-rushing snaps. Taylor joins a Seattle D-line that needs him -- especially with Jadeveon Clowney still lingering on the open market.

The Seahawks chose Texas Tech LB Jordyn Brooks with the 27th pick of the NFL Draft. Brooks spent 4 years starting for the Red Raiders: 3 on the outside before moving to the middle as a senior. Brooks ranks 5th in this class of off-the-ball LBs in speed score with a 96th-percentile mark. He also produced on the field: 4th-most solo tackles per game for 2019, 6th in market share of solos, 1st in tackles for loss per game and 5th in career solos per game. In Seattle, Brooks might shove K.J. Wright out of the lineup this year. We'll see about the Seahawks' plans.

The Seahawks on Monday traded a 5th-round NFL Draft pick to Washington for CB Quinton Dunbar, ESPN reports. Dunbar is heading into the final season on his contract and lost 14 games to injuries over the past 2 years. He has proved productive when on the field, though, including 17 passes defensed and 6 INTs over his past 18 games. Dunbar should be a starter for Seattle and a draftable DB in 2020 IDP leagues of at least moderate depth.

Seahawks S Quandre Diggs (ankle) is inactive for tonight's game against the 49ers. That should mean a 2nd straight start for Delano Hill in his place.

Seahawks CB Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the Cardinals. LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) is active after missing the past 2 games. He'll make for a risky IDP option, though.

Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney (core) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. S Quandre Diggs (ankle) is doubtful as well. CB Shaq Griffin (hamstring) and LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) are questionable. Griffin missed last week's game and then managed only a limited Wednesday practice before sitting out the other 2 days. Kendricks missed the past 2 games but managed 1 more limited practice this week (Friday) than he did last week. Neither guy should be in your IDP plans, if you can help it.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters after Sunday's win over the Panthers that MLB Bobby Wagner suffered an ankle sprain late in the game. We'll see whether that threatens Wagner's availability for Week 16. S Quandre Diggs also sprained an ankle in the game. He's not much of an IDP factor for most leagues.

Seahawks CB Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) and DE Ezekiel Ansah (neck) are inactive for today's game against the Panthers. They join DE Jadeveon Clowney and LB Mychal Kendricks, who we already knew would sit. An already-average Seattle D looks vulnerable.

The Seahawks have ruled DE Jadeveon Clowney out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Clowney has been dealing with a core muscle injury for several weeks. He also battled illness this week, missing practice Wednesday and Thursday. Clowney returned for limited participation Friday, though, and initially drew a "questionable" tag for the Carolina game. But the team quickly downgraded him. Clowney's absence is a significant blow to a D-line that also has DE Ezekiel Ansah questionable (neck). Elsewhere on the defense, LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) will miss his 2nd straight game, and CB Shaq Griffin (hamstring) is questionable.

Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney (core) is active for tonight's game against the Rams. DE Ezekiel Ansah (neck) is inactive. Use Clowney as you normally would in your IDP lineups.

Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney (core) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. He finished the week with a full practice, though, after limited workouts the previous 2 days. And Clowney played through the issue last week. Expect him to play against the Rams.

Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney (core) is active for tonight's game against the Vikings after missing Week 13. LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) and DT Jarran Reed (ankle) are also active after hitting the day questionable. All are ready for IDP use if you waited for them.
