The Seahawks selected Ohio State WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba with the 20th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. JSN turned in one of the most impressive sophomore seasons we’ve ever seen back in 2021. He racked up 95 catches for 1,606 yards and nine TDs, out-producing both Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave while also beating those eventual first-round picks in yards per route run and Pro Football Focus receiving grade. A lingering hamstring injury limited Smith-Njigba to 60 total snaps this past year. But he was healthy enough to work out in the pre-draft process, where he posted elite marks in the 3-cone and short shuttle. That agility shows up on tape: JSN is impossible to stick with one-on-one and regularly adds yardage after the catch. Smith-Njibga has just-ok size (6’1, 196 lbs.) and speed (4.52-second 40 time), which puts a cap on his big-play upside. But he looks capable of quickly emerging as a high-volume target. Think Amon-Ra St. Brown. With the Seahawks, JSN will fit in as a day-one slot. Note that D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are signed through the 2025 season.

The Seahawks and QB Geno Smith have reportedly reached an agreement on a three-year, $105 million contract extension. The 32-year-old finished the 2022 NFL season with Pro Bowl honors and the Comeback Player of the Year Award after he spent several seasons serving as a backup. It'll be tough for Smith to maintain his fantasy production from last year (QB9 in points per game with 17.9), but this deal locks him in with the likes of WRs D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett for the foreseeable future. We've bumped up Smith to QB18 in our dynasty rankings as a result of this news. He'll be a quality QB2 in superflex leagues. As for Metcalf and Lockett, their dynasty values are relatively the same. Continuity at QB does eliminate some of the risk associated with Metcalf in dynasty formats if anything. We don't yet know the details of Smith's contract and if the Seahawks would be able to maneuver out of the deal should the franchise choose to explore younger options at the position. But for now, it's great news for a player with a great story.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf had a monster day in Saturday's Wild Card loss vs. the 49ers, posting 10 catches on 13 targets with 136 receiving yards and 2 TDs. Teammate WR Tyler Lockett ended the contest with 6 catches on 8 targets for 39 yards. The fantasy value of this pair of pass-catchers will be tied to the uncertainty surrounding the future of QB Geno Smith. Assuming Smith is brought back on a new contract, both Metcalf and Lockett will be top-20 considerations in drafts this summer.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday and doesn't carry an injury designation for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the 49ers. As stingy as the 49ers' run defense is, they're considerably friendlier to pass-catchers. In 2 games against the 49ers this year, Lockett logged 9-107 and 7-68 on 20 total targets. Considering past success and the fact that the 49ers are the 6th-best matchup for WRs in adjusted fantasy points allowed this season, the veteran wideout is in an excellent spot to perform this weekend.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) practiced fully again on Wednesday. TE Noah Fant (knee) was listed with limited participation, an upgrade from Tuesday. This all certainly bodes well for the Seahawks ahead of Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the 49ers. Check back for further updates tomorrow.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) was listed as a full practice participant on Tuesday. TE Noah Fant (knee), on the other hand, did not log participation. We'll have a clearer picture of these Seahawks' availability for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the 49ers tomorrow. Check back for further updates.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. He returned from that fractured finger last week – and then picked up a shin injury. Lockett got in just a limited practice on Friday this week and won’t be at 100% today. He’s a shaky WR3.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) is officially listed as questionable for Week 18 vs. the Rams. Though he was quiet last week in his return from injury, the veteran wideout averaged 7.7 targets per game through Week 15 with a 23.5% target share that ranks 2nd on the team. He's a fairly integral part of this 'Hawks passing attack and should be a high-end WR3/flex candidate should he suit up on Sunday.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) didn't practice on Thursday ahead of Week 18 vs. the Rams. Hopefully, the veteran can log limited participation tomorrow and increase his chances of getting the green light for action. Circle back tomorrow once we have more clarity.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) didn't participate in practice on Wednesday. TE Noah Fant (knee) was also absent from practice. There's still a lot of time for this duo of pass-catchers to ramp up activity ahead of Week 18 vs. the Rams. Be sure to check back tomorrow for more information.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett injured his leg in the 1st half of Sunday's game vs. the Jets and is questionable to return. He was playing through a hand injury, catching both of his targets for 15 yards before exiting. We'll update Lockett's status when we know more.

Update:Lockett returned in the 2nd half.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (finger) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He’ll be playing with 10 screws and a plate in the left hand he broke 2 weeks ago. That -- plus the matchup against the Jets' top-ranked WR defense -- leaves Lockett as a risky Week 17 fantasy play.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hand) is expected to play vs. the Jets today. He'll do so with 10 screws and a plate in the left hand he broke 2 weeks ago. That -- plus the matchup against the Jets' top-ranked WR defense -- leaves Lockett as a risky Week 17 fantasy play.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (finger) practiced fully on Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Week 17 vs. the Jets. Teammate WR Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) is listed as doubtful. ESPN's Brady Henderson reports that Lockett is expected to play. The Jets' secondary presents the toughest matchup for opposing WRs in adjusted fantasy points allowed in 2022. That said, Lockett ranked 16th among WRs in targets through Week 15 prior to getting hurt. We consider Lockett a risk/reward WR3 considering the injury and matchup.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (finger) returned to practice on Thursday and participated in a limited fashion. The veteran wideout has not played since breaking his finger in Week 15 vs. the 49ers. Teammate WR Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) did not practice for the 2nd day in a row. TE Noah Fant (knee) upgraded to full participation. Friday's report will give official designations for the trio in advance of Week 17 vs. the Jets. Check back tomorrow.

Seahawks WRs Tyler Lockett (finger) and Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) did not practice on Wednesday. TE Noah Fant (knee) did not practice either. It's still early in the week though. We'll keep tabs on this trio of pass-catchers ahead of Week 17 vs. the Jets.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll was non-committal on WR Tyler Lockett's Week 17 availability when asked on Monday. "We'll see where he is," Carroll said. "I don't know.'' Lockett has re-joined the team after spending last week in Los Angeles recovering from surgery to repair a fractured finger. The 7-8 Seahawks are desperate enough to potentially push Lockett to play vs. the Jets this weekend, but fantasy owners should have an alternate option lined up. We'll keep you updated on Lockett's status throughout this week.

Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin (wrist, ankle) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. It's troubling to see the veteran downgrade from full participation on Tuesday. Already expected to be without WR Tyler Lockett, an absence from Goodwin would be bad news for QB Geno Smith. With the game vs. the Chiefs in line to kick off Saturday, tomorrow's practice report will give the final word on Goodwin. Stay tuned.
