Green Bay Packers Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Eagles. He put in a limited practice on Thursday but was sidelined on Friday and Saturday. HC Matt LaFleur said Golden did not suffer the setback, but the rookie seems no better than 50/50 to play against Philadelphia. He should be on fantasy benches. WRs Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (foot) are also listed as questionable. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are the only Packers WRs that are in consideration as fantasy starters this week.

Packers WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) did not practice on Friday. That followed a limited practice on Thursday. It's unclear if this was a planned day off for the rookie or if that shoulder didn't respond well to Thursday's workout. We'll see what Golden does on Saturday and how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Eagles, but he shouldn't be in your Week 10 fantasy plans.

Packers WR Matthew Golden (shoulder) got in a limited practice on Thursday. HC Matt LaFleur labeled the rookie "day to day" earlier this week, and it looks like he's on track to play vs. the Eagles on Monday night. WR Dontayvion Wicks (calf) was also limited on Thursday.

The Packers are targeting a Week 13 or 14 return for WR Jayden Reed, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. Reed has been sidelined since Week 2, recovering from surgeries to repair a broken collarbone and a Jones Fracture. It'll be at least a week beyond his return before we could consider using him in fantasy lineups. And he'll be returning to a crowded WR corps alongside Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Matthew Golden -- although there are targets up for grabs with TE Tucker Kraft out for the season. Still, Reed is only worth stashing in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams with relatively deep benches.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Monday that WR Matthew Golden's shoulder injury is not serious, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky. The rookie is considered "day to day," LaFleur added. Golden gets an extra day to heal up ahead of next Monday night's game vs. the Eagles. We'll track his status throughout the week.

Further testing confirmed that Packers TE Tucker Kraft tore his right ACL in the Week 9 loss to the Panthers. He'll miss the rest of the 2025 season. Kraft will have a little over 10 months to get ready for the start of the 2026 campaign. Assuming this was a relatively clean tear with no additional damage, Kraft should have a good chance to be ready for Week 1.

Packers QB Jordan Love completed 26 of 37 passes for 273 scoreless yards in Sunday's upset loss to Carolina. Sunday marked his first outing without a TD pass since the Wild Card Round of last postseason. He added one INT.

The Packers “fear” that TE Tucker Kraft suffered an ACL tear in Sunday’s loss to Carolina, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. We’ll know more tomorrow, but fantasy managers should at least prepare to be without the breakout TE for the road ahead.

Packers TE Tucker Kraft's knee injury "doesn't look good," HC Matt LaFleur said after Sunday's loss to the Panthers. This is a right knee injury for Kraft, who hurt his left knee in practice back in September. Former NFL head team Dr. David Chao believes Kraft has an MCL injury based on the video. That'd be better than an ACL but could still cost Kraft multiple weeks. We should learn more about the injury over the next 24 hours. Luke Musgrave will step in as Green Bay's lead TE for however long Kraft is out and is worth adding in deeper fantasy leagues.

Packers WR Matthew Golden is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Panthers after injuring a shoulder in the third quarter. We'll update the rookie's status when we know more.

Update: Golden has been ruled out.

Packers TE Tucker Kraft suffered a right knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Panthers. He needed help getting off the field. We'll update Kraft's status when we know more. Luke Musgrave would step in as Green Bay's lead TE if Kraft misses time.

Update: Kraft has been ruled out.

Packers LB Quay Walker is active for today's game against the Panthers. He retains some risk, however, thanks to a calf injury that kept him out of Thursday's practice and limited his Friday workout. Factor that in as you set your IDP lineups.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks (calf) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden, and Christian Watson will again operate as Green Bay’s top three WRs in that one.

Packers K Brandon McManus (quad) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Steelers. It’ll be his first action since Week 4. McManus is a fine fantasy play if you were waiting on him.

Packers WR Matthew Golden (hip) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Steelers. He was added to the injury report on Friday, limited in practice, and then listed as questionable. So the rookie likely isn’t at 100% for this one – and will be contending with the return of WR Christian Watson (knee), who is also active. We’re expecting Watson to be on some type of snap count in his first action since tearing his ACL in January.

Packers WR Matthew Golden (hip) is expected to play vs. the Steelers tonight, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Golden was added to the injury report on Friday, limited in practice, and listed as questionable. That adds some risk to his fantasy profile, as does the return of WR Christian Watson. Golden sits in WR3 territory in the Week 8 rankings.

Packers WR Christian Watson (knee) has been activated off IR and is expected to make his 2025 debut vs. the Steelers on Sunday night, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It'll be Watson's first action since tearing his ACL on January 5. He's been getting in limited practices for the last three weeks. When healthy, Watson brings a big-play element to Green Bay's passing game, averaging 16.9 yards per catch for his career. The Packers could certainly use him in Pittsburgh with WRs Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks out. But we'd be surprised if Watson played a full slate of snaps in his first game in nearly 10 months. Try not to use him in Week 8 fantasy lineups, but Watson is worth rostering in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams.

Packers WR Matthew Golden (hip) was added to the injury report on Friday, limited in practice, and listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Steelers. We’ll look for more info on his status, but the late kickoff could leave fantasy owners in a tough spot. WR Christian Watson (knee) is also listed as questionable. He has a chance to make his 2025 debut in this one but shouldn’t be in Week 8 fantasy lineups. WR Dontayvion Wicks (calf) has been ruled out.

Packers K Brandon McManus (quad) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Steelers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Lucas Havrisik will kick again for Green Bay if McManus can’t. With the late kickoff, you’re best off avoiding this situation in Week 8 fantasy lineups.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. He should continue to operate as the No. 3 WR behind Romeo Doubs and Matthew Golden.
