Brown out again Thursday

Bucs WR Antonio Brown (ankle) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He appears to be in real danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Bears. Brown's absence would move WR Tyler Johnson up into the #3 spot on the depth chart -- and mean more targets for WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

"You can see the bone bulging from the outside.” Brown also claims he pulled himself from the Jets game, the Bucs' coaches told him to go back in and then told him he was done with the team when he refused. Brown added that he's expected to make a full recovery from the ankle injury and is "looking forward to next season." We'll see if another team takes a shot on him.

Bucs HC Bruce Arians said after Sunday's win over the Jets that WR Antonio Brown's time with the Bucs is over. That's not a surprise after Brown removed his jersey and left the field in the middle of the 3rd quarter. But it's still a massive loss for a Bucs offense that is also without WR Chris Godwin for the rest of the season. That leaves Breshad Perriman, Cyril Grayson and Tyler Johnson as the top WRs behind Mike Evans. Evans and TE Rob Gronkowski should be the focal points of the passing game in Week 18 and the playoffs.

But Brown reportedly felt good enough in a Saturday workout to give it a go today. He’s a risk/reward fantasy play at less than 100% in an excellent matchup.
