Gage hurt in practice

Bucs WR Russell Gage suffered an apparent leg injury in practice on Wednesday. Gage limped off with team trainers, per beat writer Rick Stroud. We’ll pass along an update when we learn more.

Bucs WR Russell Gage sustained a concussion in Monday night's Wild Card loss to the Cowboys but avoided any other damage and will be released from the hospital this afternoon, HC Todd Bowles said. "His neck is fine and right now he has all his extremities moving," Bowles added. This is Gage's 3rd documented concussion, but it sounds like he'll be ready for the start of the offseason program. Gage had a disappointing debut season with the Bucs, finishing with a 51-426-5 line across 13 games. He's set to count a little more than $12 million against the 2023 cap but carries a $9.3 million dead cap number, so he figures to be back in Tampa Bay for at least 1 more year.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (hamstring) is active for tonight's game vs. the Saints. It's his 1st action since Week 7. Gage averaged an underwhelming 5.7 targets, 4.1 catches and 33 yards over the first 7 games of the season. We're expecting him to operate as Tampa's #4 WR tonight behind Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Julio Jones.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He was a full-go in Saturday's practice, so he seemingly has a good chance to return for this one. Gage has been out since Week 7 and shouldn't be in your fantasy plans. But his return adds downside to WR Julio Jones' fantasy profile.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice. We'll see if he can make it back for Monday night's game vs. the Saints, which would be his first action since Week 7. Gage won't be a bankable fantasy play if he does suit up against New Orleans.
