Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was a full-go on Friday. So McKinnon will evidently be ready for his usual pass-catching role vs. the Bengals this weekend.
The Chiefs are expected to re-sign RB Jerick McKinnon, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. McKinnon played a big role in Kansas City's offense over the 2nd half of last season, particularly in the passing game. He averaged 4.7 targets, 3.7 catches, 33 receiving yards, and .6 receiving scores over his final 13 games (including postseason). The Chiefs didn't add a RB in the draft, so their backfield figures to look similar this year to last: McKinnon as the passing-down back and Isiah Pacheco as the lead ball carrier.
Update: The Chiefs have officially re-signed McKinnon, according to ESPN's Field Yates. See where McKinnon lands in the updated RB rankings.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (ankle) practiced fully on Wednesday ahead of the AFC Championship game vs. the Bengals. The veteran figures to split backfield duties with rookie RB Isiah Pacheco should he ultimately be healthy enough to suit up this weekend. We'll follow McKinnon's status on the practice report this week in case something takes a downward turn.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon caught another 2 TD passes in Sunday's win over the Broncos, the 2nd time this season he has tallied 2 receiving scores against Denver. McKinnon's TDs came from 6 and 3 yards out this time. It was his 5th straight game with at least 1 score and 3rd 2-TD game among the past 4. McKinnon and the Chiefs face a weak Raiders defense in Week 18.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon scored from 9 yards out among his 3 catches for 31 yards in Saturday's win over the Seahawks. That marks his 4th straight game with at least 1 TD and his 6th TD over that span. McKinnon totaled just 8 touches for 38 yards in this one, so he's still not a safe bet if he doesn't get TD luck. Week 17 holds a rematch with the Broncos, who allowed McKinnon 7-112-2 receiving line in their Week 14 meeting. Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco added 58 yards on 14 carries, plus a catch for 32 yards.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon scored via run and pass in Sunday's win over the Texans. McKinnon carried 10 times for 52 yards, finding the end zone from 26 yards out. He also caught all 8 of his targets for 70 yards, including a 20-yard 2nd-quarter score. That makes 5 TDs in 3 games for McKinnon, who should probably just stay in fantasy football lineups. His 18 opportunities against Houston marked a season high for the 2nd straight week. RB Isiah Pacheco led the team with 15 carries for 86 yards against Houston, adding an 11-yard catch on his lone target.
