Raiders RB Josh Jacobs did not have a big fantasy day in the Week 1 win over Denver, totaling 71 scoreless yards. But he remained a workhorse, despite re-joining the team just about two weeks ago. Jacobs handled 19 of Vegas' 20 RB carries and three of the five RB targets. His 88% share of his team's backfield opportunities (carries + targets) is the second highest on the week through the Sunday afternoon games. If this type of usage holds -- and we think it will -- Jacobs will have no problem scoring as a RB1. Week 2 brings a tough spot in Buffalo, but Jacobs' volume should keep him in fantasy lineups.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs gained only 38 yards on 14 attempts in Sunday's loss at Miami. Note that Vegas played without key LT Kolton Miller. Strangely, Jacobs saw only 1 target in this one, despite 41 passes from Aidan O'Connell. In fact, over the past three weeks, Jacobs owns only 3 total targets. Week 12 turns up a negative matchup vs. Kansas City, followed by a Week 13 bye.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs recorded 15 carries for 61 rushing yards and a TD in Week 8’s loss vs. the Lions. He also secured 2 of 4 targets for a team-leading 27 receiving yards in the contest. Unfortunately, Jacobs is the only Raider who eclipsed 20 receiving yards and one of only three players to catch more than one pass on Monday night. In fact, QB Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t complete a pass to a WR until the second half of the game. Both WR Jakobi Meyers and Davante Adams were held to one reception apiece, unable to bring anything to the table for fantasy managers. Next week’s matchup vs. the Giants should yield better results, though the current state of the Raiders' offense is deeply concerning.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs mustered only 35 yards on 11 carries in Sunday's loss to Chicago. Jacobs added only 1 catch on 4 targets, although he nearly had more. A mishandled pass turned into one Bears INT. Jacobs also failed to get both feet down in bounds on an end zone target. On the bright side: Jacobs is now tied for the league-lead in targets. And there’s at least a chance he gets Jimmy Garoppolo back for Week 8 at Detroit.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs tallied 77 rushing yards on 25 carries in Week 6’s victory vs. the Patriots. Despite seeing 5 targets on Sunday, the veteran back recorded just 2 catches for 16 yards in the contest. Still, Jacobs leads all NFL RBs with 35 targets this season and continues to shoulder a massive workload every week. We like him as an RB1 candidate in Week 7 vs. the Bears.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs posted 20 carries for 69 yards and a rushing TD in Week 5 vs. the Packers. He also roped in all 5 targets for an additional 20 yards as a pass-catcher in the contest. Jacobs got off to a bit of a slow start in 2023, but fantasy managers who stuck it out with the reigning rushing champ have been rewarded with back-to-back TD games. It’s also worth noting that Jacobs leads all RBs with 30 targets through five weeks. Even if he again fails to eclipse the century mark in rushing yards next week vs. the Patriots, managers can feel comfortable knowing that Jacobs will see his fair share of receiving involvement.
