Chiefs HC Andy Reid didn't give a firm timetable for RB Isiah Pacheco's return from his leg injury on Wednesday, but he said it could be "this season or next season," according to Arrowhead Pride's Pete Sweeney. That obviously suggests that Pacheco is not a lock to return this year. It's a bit surprising after Monday's report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler that Pacheco was expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
Reid also confirmed that Pacheco is headed to IR, so we know he'll miss at least four games. His status beyond that remains murky, although a return any time before Week 9 is unlikely.
It'd be nice to be able to keep Pacheco stashed on fantasy benches for now. But owners in shallower leagues might need to cut bait when the bye weeks start to hit in Week 5.
