George Pickens Sets Season Highs in Loss

Steelers WR George Pickens posted a strong receiving day in Sunday's loss to the Colts. He set season highs in targets (11), receptions (7), and receiving yards (113). Pickens drew a target on 32.4% of QB Justin Fields' 34 pass attempts and contributed 36.2% of the team's total receiving yards. The lone TD pass went to TE Pat Freiermuth.

        2024 Fantasy Football Impact

Pickens has seen 7+ targets in three of four games, with the other being a predictably tough matchup against Broncos CB Pat Surtain II.

Each of those three contests has seen Pickens catch at least five passes and tally 57+ yards.

He owns a strong 26.6% target share through four weeks and an even more surprising 69% catch rate.

We'll see how the QB situation develops in Pittsburgh, but Pickens has become a weekly starter for most fantasy rosters.

There's nothing scary about matchups with the Cowboys and Raiders the next two weeks, or the Giants in Week 8. A Week 7 clash with the Jets figure to push Pickens lower in our WR rankings.
