Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle, hamstring) did not practice on Thursday, a day after "tweaking" his hamstring. He's now looking extremely iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. Check back tomorrow for another update.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Saints WR Michael Thomas "tweaked" a hamstring in Wednesday's practice. He was set to return from his high-ankle sprain for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers, but his availability for that one is now uncertain. We'll get another update on Thomas this afternoon.

Saints WR Michael Thomas was limited in Wednesday's practice and listed on the injury report with ankle and hamstring issues. He seemed set to return from his high-ankle sprain, but the hamstring is new. We'll see what Thomas is able to do on Thursday.

The Saints are holding WR Michael Thomas out of Monday night's game against the Chargers after he got into an altercation with a teammate at practice this weekend, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's a tough break for fantasy owners (although we still don't know if Thomas was medically cleared from his ankle injury to play this week). Regardless, he should be back after New Orleans' Week 6 bye.

The Saints have downgraded WR Michael Thomas (ankle) to out for Monday night's game against the Chargers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Thomas gets a Week 6 bye and should be ready to play come Week 7. Tre'Quan Smith and Emmanuel Sanders will again serve as New Orleans' top 2 WRs vs. L.A. tomorrow.

Update: The Saints announced that the “change in [Thomas'] game status is not injury related.” We'll see exactly what that means.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Chargers. ESPN's Mike Triplett believes there's a "good chance" Thomas returns for this one. Pencil him into fantasy lineups, but make sure you have a backup option from either this game or Tuesday night's Bills-Titans game.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) remained limited in Friday's practice. We'll see what he does tomorrow and then how New Orleans lists him on the final injury report for Monday night's game against the Chargers.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) was limited in Thursday's practice. He put in 3 limited workouts last week before missing the Lions game, but Thomas seems to have a good shot to return for Monday night's game against the Chargers. We'll get another update tomorrow.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) has a "realistic opportunity" to return for next Monday night's game against the Chargers. Thomas made "some progress" this week, Rapoport adds. It's an optimistic report -- but stops short of guaranteeing that Thomas will be back for Week 5. We'll keep a close eye on his status this coming week.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Lions. He did put in 3 limited practices this week, so a Week 5 return looks likely. Tre’Quan Smith and Emmanuel Sanders will continue to serve as New Orleans’ top 2 WRs vs. Detroit this weekend.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. His availability for this weekend's game against the Lions remains uncertain. We'll get another update tomorrow.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday, his first since going down back in Week 1. It gives him a shot to play against the Lions this weekend. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said this afternoon, though, that Thomas will "have to really prove he’s not at risk of reinjury to play." We'll continue to keep a close eye on his progress.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) is hoping to return for Week 4, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Thomas was "moving really well" in a workout on Friday, a source tells Schefty. We'll keep a close eye on Thomas' progress in practice this coming week.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) is out for Sunday night's game against the Packers. He didn't practice all week and is certainly no lock to return for Week 4. With Thomas out last Monday night, the Saints' targets went: Alvin Kamara 9, Tre'Quan Smith 7, Jared Cook 5, Deonte Harris 5, Emmanuel Sanders 3, Ty Montgomery 3. Kamara, Smith and Cook are the best target bets vs. Green Bay.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. At this point, it'll be a surprise if he plays against the Packers on Sunday night. That'll again leave Alvin Kamara, Jared Cook, Tre'Quan Smith and Emmanuel Sanders as New Orleans' top pass targets.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) was listed as "did not participate" in Wednesday's practice. New Orleans didn't actually practice on the short week after Monday night's loss, but this still isn't a good sign for Thomas' chances to returning for Sunday night's game against the Packers. We'll see if he's able to get on the field tomorrow.

The Saints have ruled WR Michael Thomas out for Monday night’s game against the Raiders. That’s been the expected move all week, though there was a bit of optimism Friday. We’ll see whether that means Thomas can make it back from his high-ankle sprain for Week 3. His absence leaves targets for Emmanuel Sanders and crew, and elevates Tre’Quan Smith to a starting role in a positive matchup. We can’t help but downgrade Drew Brees with no Thomas, though, especially after an unspectacular opener
