Cardinals RB Michael Carter is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Texans. Not a big surprise after he was acquired earlier this week. With RB Emari Demercado out with his toe injury, it'll be RBs Tony Jones and Keaontay Ingram behind James Conner.

The Cardinals have officially designated RB James Conner to return from IR. That allows Conner to practice with the team this week. Arizona now has three weeks to decide whether to return him to the active roster. Signs have pointed to Conner returning to game action this week against the Falcons. We'll watch the RB's status throughout the week.

The Cardinals elevated RB Corey Clement from the practice squad. He joins Keaontay Ingram and Tony Jones in Arizona's backfield for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. It remains a situation to try to avoid in fantasy lineups.

Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (toe) missed practice all week and has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Browns. RB Damien Williams landed on IR earlier this week, so Arizona is down to RBs Keaontay Ingram and Tony Jones. The Cardinals are 10-point road underdogs with a 14.25-point implied total against the Browns' 8th-ranked RB defense, so you're best off avoiding this backfield in fantasy lineups.

Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (toe) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. He's seemingly in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Browns. RB Damien Williams was placed on IR earlier this week, leaving Keaontay Ingram and Tony Jones as Arizona's healthy RBs. We'll update Demercado's status again tomorrow.

The Cardinals elevated RB Damien Williams from the practice squad. He'll join RBs Emari Demercado, Keaontay Ingram, and Tony Jones in the backfield for Sunday's game vs. the Rams. There's certainly a chance that this is a frustrating committee.

Cardinals RB Keaontay Ingram (neck) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He'll play vs. the Rams on Sunday for the first time since Week 3. The Cardinals, of course, will be without RB James Conner in that one, leaving the backfield to Ingram, Emari Demercado, and the newly signed Tony Jones. Demercado is the best bet for fantasy production after a solid Week 5 showing, but it's anyone's guess as to exactly how backfield touches will be split here.

Cardinals RB James Conner (knee) has been placed on IR. He'll miss at least the next four games vs. the Rams, Seahawks, Ravens, and Browns. We'll see if he's ready to play when first eligible in Week 10. Sitting 18th among RBs in PPR points, Conner is worth keeping stashed in most fantasy leagues. His absence leaves Arizona's backfield to RBs Emari Demercado, Keaontay Ingram, and Tony Jones. We broke down the situation in this week's waiver wire report.

Cardinals RB James Conner is expected to miss "multiple weeks" with the knee injury he suffered in the Week 5 loss to the Bengals, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. We'll see if Conner ends up landing on IR, which would cost him four games. His absence leaves Arizona's backfield to Emari Demercado, Keaontay Ingram, and the just-acquired Tony Jones. Ingram has missed the past two weeks with a neck injury but did get in a couple of limited practices last week. We'll see if he makes it back for Sunday's game vs. the Rams, but Demercado will be the best fantasy bet in this backfield at least for Week 6.

The Cardinals on Monday claimed RB Tony Jones Jr. off waivers from the Saints. That, of course, comes a day after RB James Conner suffered a knee injury and doesn't bode well for Conner's chances of playing in Week 6. Arizona also went without RB Keaontay Ingram in Week 5 because of a neck injury. We'll see about his availability for Sunday's game against the Rams. Emari Demercado currently stands as the best bet to lead Arizona's backfield for that one and is worth a look on waivers this week for needy fantasy teams.

Saints rookie RB Kendre Miller made his NFL debut Sunday against the Packers after missing the first two games with a hamstring injury. Miller wound up leading the team in carries (9) and rushing yards (34). But he ceded another 8 carries to RB Tony Jones Jr. and trailed Jones 4-1 in targets. Miller caught his only target for no gain. Jones finished with an 8-31 rushing line and 4-21 receiving. Jones got the first carry and saw all four of his targets in the first half. But Miller drew 7 of the team's 13 first-half carries to lead the way. With Alvin Kamara returning from his suspension in Week 4, don't expect any other Saints RB to help your fantasy football lineup.

Saints RB Jamaal Williams is expected to miss “some time” with his hamstring injury, HC Dennis Allen said Tuesday. We'll see exactly how long Williams is out, but it sounds like he'll at least miss this Sunday's game vs. the Packers. That's the final game of RB Alvin Kamara's three-game suspension, while rookie RB Kendre Miller is still working back from knee and hamstring injuries. So the Saints could be down to Tony Jones as lead back this weekend. We could also see Taysom Hill play a big role on the ground. He wound up carrying nine times for 75 yards in the Week 2 win over the Panthers.

Saints RB Jamaal Williams left Monday night's game against the Panthers with a hamstring injury. He's questionable to return. With RB Kendre Miller inactive once again, New Orleans is left with Tony Jones Jr. as "lead" RB.

Seahawks RBs DeeJay Dallas and Tony Jones are inactive for tonight's game vs. the 49ers. RBs Ken Walker, Travis Homer and Godwin Igwebuike are dressed for Seattle. We're expecting Walker to see his usual workload tonight.

With RBs Kenneth Walker III and DeeJay Dallas inactive, RB Travis Homer led the Seahawks with 9 carries and 26 yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. Tony Jones Jr. claimed the only other RB carry for the team and trailed Homer 3-2 in targets, despite the early Sunday report from ESPN's Adam Schefter that Jones would start. We'll see whether Walker or Dallas can make it back for Thursday's clash with the 49ers, which won't be a great spot even for a healthy RB. Godwin Igwebuike didn't play an offensive snap against the Panthers.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) are inactive for today’s game vs. the Panthers. That leaves Seattle with RBs Travis Homer, Tony Jones and Godwin Igwebuike. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said this morning that Jones is expected to get the start.

ESPN's Adam Schefter expects RB Tony Jones to start today's game vs. the Panthers. RBs Ken Walker and DeeJay Dallas are not expected to play, so it'll be Jones, Travis Homer and Godwin Igwebuike in the backfield. Schefter expects all 3 of those guys to play, so it's not a very attractive fantasy situation. Jones might be the favorite to lead in carries, but we're still expecting Homer to get more action on passing downs.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. Neither guy practiced all week, but HC Pete Carroll labeled them game-time decisions. RB Travis Homer (knee) isn’t listed on the final injury report and will be available on Sunday. RB Tony Jones is also on the active roster, while RBs Darwin Thompson, Wayne Gallman and Godwin Igwebuike are on the practice squad. We’ll see if Seattle elevates any of those guys on Saturday.
