The Steelers backfield has been a question mark all season with RB Jaylen Warren starting and having the primary rushing role but Kenneth Gainwell’s pass catching and blocking getting him plenty of work. Both paid off for fantasy managers this week. Warren went 14-143-2 on the ground and 2-8-0 through the air on 2 targets. Gainwell went 9-50-0 on the ground and 5-78-1 through the air on 7 targets. Gainwell’s TD came on an incredible catch at the end of the first half.
Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell led Pittsburgh’s backfield in Week 15, totaling 126 yards on 20 touches vs. Miami. Jaylen Warren -- who carried a questionable (illness) designation -- managed only 48 yards on 15 attempts.
Steelers RB Jaylen Warren is active for tonight's game vs. the Dolphins. He was added to the injury report as questionable with an illness this morning. It adds a little risk to his Week 15 profile, but we're ultimately expecting Warren to play his usual role tonight.
The Steelers have added RB Jaylen Warren to the injury report as questionable for tonight's game against the Dolphins with an illness. His absence would obviously give a large boost to Kenneth Gainwell and likely get rookie RB Kaleb Johnson more involved.
Steelers TE Darnell Washington has cleared concussion protocol and will play vs. the Dolphins on Monday night, the team announced. He'll continue splitting snaps with TEs Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith. Those guys are only in play in one-game daily contests.
Steelers TE Darnell Washington (concussion) is questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Dolphins. He was limited in practice all week. We might not know Washington's status for this one until Monday. Avoid Pittsburgh TEs in Week 15 fantasy lineups.
Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf (abdomen) practiced all week and is not listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game against the Dolphins. He should be ready for his usual role in that one and is safe to get into Week 15 fantasy lineups.
Steelers Edge T.J. Watt had surgery Thursday to "stabilize and repair a partially collapsed lung suffered Wednesday after a dry needling treatment session at the facility," according to his brother J.J. Watt. Pittsburgh has ruled him out for Monday's game against the Dolphins.
Steelers TE Darnell Washington (concussion) got in a limited practice on Thursday. He's made progress through the protocol and has a chance to be cleared for Monday night's game vs. the Dolphins. We'll keep tabs on Washington's progress over the next few days.
Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf (abdomen) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. He was hospitalized after experiencing stomach pain following last week's win over the Ravens, but he's on track to play vs. the Dolphins on Monday night.
Steelers Edge T.J. Watt is in the hospital getting "further medical evaluation of his lung after experiencing discomfort" at the team's practice facility Wednesday, according to Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten.
Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that WR D.K. Metcalf is "moving in the right direction" and should be able to play vs. the Dolphins on Monday night. Metcalf was hospitalized after experiencing stomach pains following last week's win over the Ravens. But he was released a short while later and seems to be doing fine. We'll keep you updated on his status throughout the week, but it sounds like Metcalf will be available to use in Week 15 fantasy lineups.
Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf stayed overnight in Baltimore after being checked into a local hospital with stomach pain. There was fear of internal injuries after taking a hard shot in the Steelers Ravens game on Sunday. Ultimately, it was done out of an adbundance of caution and he was released to fly back to Pittsburgh today.
Steelers TE Darnell Washington sustained a concussion in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Ravens and won't return. He caught his only target for 12 yards before exiting. Washington's absence should mean more snaps for TEs Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth. Washington will get an extra day to clear protocol for next Monday night's game vs. the Dolphins.
The Steelers claimed WR Adam Thielen off waivers. That'll fix it! Thielen and the Vikings mutually parted ways earlier this week, with the veteran wanting to join a contender in what will be his final season. We're not sure Pittsburgh qualifiers. Regardless, Thielen could earn some snaps in a weak WR corps but won't be a fantasy asset. He totaled 69 yards across 11 games with Minnesota.
Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers has "at least" three fractures in his left wrist, "one of which is a more consequential break that can only happen with significant force," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rodgers is set to play vs. the Bills today, but it remains to be seen how the left wrist injury will impact his play. Try to avoid Rodgers in all fantasy formats this week.
Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) is off the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Bills. He was a full participant in Thursday and Friday’s practices. “All systems go,” HC Mike Tomlin said Friday. Rodgers’ passing shouldn’t be impacted by the left wrist injury, but he’s just a low-end QB2 against Buffalo’s eighth-ranked QB defense.
Steelers WR D.K. Metcalf (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 13 injury report. He was sidelined on Wednesday but put in full practices on Thursday and Friday. Metcalf should be ready for his usual role against the Bills this weekend.
Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers (wrist) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. It was his first full practice since hurting his left wrist in Week 11. Rodgers is seemingly on track to return for Sunday's game vs. the Bills. He'll be just a low-end QB2 in fantasy lineups for that one.
