We’d try to avoid 49ers WRs in fantasy lineups, though. TE George Kittle and RB Christian McCaffrey should both be busy in the passing game against Atlanta.

49ers WR Mike Evans (ribs, Achilles) did not practice on Wednesday. No surprise after he missed the second half of Monday night's game vs. the Commanders. Evans' status for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons is uncertain. WR Christian Kirk (calf) was a full participant on Wednesday, putting him on track to make his 49ers debut this weekend. Kirk would be a desperation Week 7 fantasy start but might be worth stashing in deeper fantasy leagues considering the state of San Francisco's WR corps.

49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said after Monday night's win over the Commanders that WR Mike Evans is dealing with Achilles tendonitis. "It's something that he's had before," Shanahan said. "It's something that bothered him throughout the week. ... It flared up tonight. I hope he recovers throughout the week. You don't think it's a long-term thing. ... Hopefully he'll be able to play next week." Shanahan also said that the team has been leaving it up to Evans whether he plays through the issue. Don't expect him to practice much, if at all, this week. We'll see if he's able to suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. Evans gets a Week 8 bye.

George Kittle caught five of a season-high 8 targets for 69 yards and a TD in the 49ers win over the Commanders. His performance led to 17.9 PPR points, resulting in a TE5 ranking in Week 6 and his fourth TE1 finish of the season.

Christian McCaffrey handled 16 rush attempts and 10 targets, both season-highs, producing 64 rushing yards and 2 TDs along with 53 receiving yards on 9 receptions. His season-high usage led to a season-high 29.7 PPR points for his first RB1 overall week this season. He accomplished that three times last season.

After capping off the opening drive with a TD to TE George Kittle, Brock Purdy failed to register another in the 49ers' win over the Commanders. But he still completed 21 of 29 attempts for 264 yards while adding another 28 rushing yards to finish as a back-end QB1 in Week 6.

Kirk hurt his calf on the first day of training camp back in late July and has done little since, so we'd be surprised if he was ready to play vs. the Commanders on Monday night. But he's nearing a return for banged-up WRs corps that could use him. Kirk might be worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

Independent review on Tuesday upheld the one-game suspension for 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw. He got ejected after headbutting helmet-less Seattle LB Ernest Jones on the sideline in the second quarter of Sunday's game. That means Greenlaw will sit out Monday night's home date with Washington.

The 49ers expect WR Deebo Samuel to miss at least a couple of weeks with the hamstring injury that knocked him out of Sunday's win over the Seahawks, according to multiple reports. San Francisco has two more games before a Week 8 bye, which almost certainly means Week 9 is the earliest potential return date.

The 49ers WR continues to produce in unconventional WR fashion. A week after accounting for 80 receiving yards without recording a reception, Samuel produced 17.0 PPR points while logging more rushing yards than receiving yards. He caught five of 6 targets for 26 yards and a TD while handling three carries for 44 more yards on his way to a high-end WR2 finish in Week 4.

Kittle shuts the Broncos comeback hopes down with a 56-yard TD late in the fourth quarter. He ended the game catching four of his 6 targets for 70 yards and that TD on his way to a 19.0 PPR point performance. Kittle finishes as a TE1 for the third-straight week.

McCaffrey continues to be one of the most targeted RBs while handling a healthy rushing share but his lack of efficiency holds him back from an RB1 finish. He posted 15 rush attempts for 52 yards and a TD while hauling in three of 5 targets for another 18 yards on his way to 16.0 PPR points.

There certainly might still be risk that Evans needs to leave early or sees his playing time limited by pain management, but Evans belongs in lineup consideration in most cases. He told the media Friday that he’s played through a similar injury before. "It was brutal to play through, but it's something that I can do," Evans said. Between the injury and matchup against Broncos CB Patrick Surtain and Co., Evans is no better than a WR3 in fantasy lineups this week.
