Chiefs S Eric Berry is "unlikely" to play against the Colts today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Berry is officially questionable with the heel injury that has dogged him since his late-season return.
Chiefs S Eric Berry is questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. He put in limited practices all week in his 1st action of the season. Berry's certainly not in lineup consideration for his 1st game since last year's opener. We'll see how things go.
Chiefs S Eric Berry is officially doubtful for Sunday's opener against the Chargers. HC Andy Reid has conceded that the veteran probably won't play while dealing with a sore heel. Berry missed much of August in his return from the Achilles' tendon tear that ended last season in the opening game. The Kansas City defense could be in trouble, missing 1 of its best players after a preseason that saw it look pretty bad.
The Chiefs confirmed Friday that S Eric Berry will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his left Achilles' tendon in Thursday night's win over the Patriots. We'll see about his status in the offseason heading toward 2018.
Chiefs S Eric Berry left in the 4th quarter of Thursday night's opener with an Achilles' tendon injury. That's bad news. We'll await an official diagnosis, but a rupture would obviously end his season.
Chiefs S Eric Berry returned over the weekend after finally signing his franchise tender. According to Arrowhead Pride, HC Andy Reid said he's "leaning against" playing Berry in the final preseason game. It'd be nice to have Berry see some game action before the season, but it's also tough to worry about a guy who returned from chemo to play a full season and garner a top position rating from Pro Football Focus last year. The abundance of usable IDP options at DB and fairly late spot at which you can draft him also makes for minimal risk. Berry's return can only be good news for a Chiefs D still missing star pass rusher OLB Justin Houston.
