Speaking at OTAs, Panthers HC Frank Reich gave his thoughts on 3rd-year WR Terrace Marshall. “We saw that last year with the reps that he got, the catches that he had, the big plays that he had. He shows that capacity to be a big-play guy,” Reich said. “The next step with every player is just more reps, more plays, more confidence where it’s like, ‘Hey, give me the ball.’” Marshall spent part of the offseason working with Mo Wells, a former LSU sprinter who also trains Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase. The goal was to build muscle with the hopes of avoiding injuries that’ve slowed his development. Still only 23, Marshall isn’t a name to forget in dynasty leagues. But it’s clear the Panthers’ new staff isn’t expecting much after adding Adam Thielen, D.J. Chark, and Round 2 WR Jonathan Mingo.
Panthers WR Terrace Marshall (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Broncos. He’s not a recommended fantasy play against the league’s 4th-ranked WR defense.
Panthers WR Terrace Marshall (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Broncos. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, so he should play. But Marshall would be a shaky fantasy start against the league’s 4th-ranked WR defense.
Panthers WR Terrace Marshall returned for Friday night's preseason finale after missing the first 2 contests with a hamstring injury. He played 43 snaps but finished catch-less on 1 target. Marshall is off the redraft radar at this point.
Panthers WR Terrace Marshall missed Friday's preseason game against the Patriots with his hamstring issue, and it doesn't seem like HC Matt Rhule was very happy about it. "I was hoping he'd be ready for the game," Rhule said afterward, per Joseph Person of The Athletic. "But the medical staff and he worked on it; couldn't get ready for the game. We need Terrace to start practicing. We need him to step up." The former 2nd-round pick needs to get back on the field soon if he wants to start rebounding from the disappointing rookie campaign. Fellow 2nd-year WR Shi Smith stands to benefit if Marshall continues to struggle.
Panthers WR Terrace Marshall did not play in Friday night's 2nd preseason game after aggravating a hamstring injury, according to insider Joe Person. It's just another stumbling block for a guy coming off an ugly rookie season. There's still a clear path to #3 WR duties for Marshall, but he's not worth a pick in fantasy drafts right now.
