Bengals HC Marvin Lewis was non-committal on WR A.J. Green's Week 9 availability on Monday.  "We'll see how he does this week," Lewis said.  Green expects to play against the Jaguars this Sunday, but he was also optimistic about returning last week.  His status will likely hinge on how much progress he makes over the next few days.  A home game against Jacksonville could allow Cincinnati to hold Green out another week.

Pro Football Talk reports that "a source with knowledge of the situation" says Bengals WR A.J. Green is targeting Week 9 for his return from a toe injury. The star wideout had hoped to play this week against the Ravens, but his toe still appears unready to allow that. Green, of course, conceded earlier this week that he doesn't expect to be 100% again at any point this season. We'll all be watching him again through the coming practice week to see whether he's ready for an attractive matchup with Jacksonville.

NFL insider Albert Breer passes along word that Bengals WR A.J. Green is dealing with ligament damage under his big toe. Breer says the injury is “lingering” and notes that the team will be “careful” with their young star. Green’s highly unlikely to suit up vs. Baltimore, but we’ll have official word by 12pm EST on Sunday. Mohamed Sanu looks poised to see 8+ targets for the 4th straight game.

Green (toe) is listed as doubtful for this weekend's game against the Ravens.  But HC Marvin Lewis sounded more optimistic than expected about Green after Friday's practice.  "He looks good and each day of this week, he has looked better and better, and [Friday], he looked like football form," Lewis said.  While Green didn't officially practice this week, he went through "rehab and conditioning drills that tested his speed, agility, quickness and cut-ability," per insider Coley Harvey.  Green owners shouldn't be counting on having him this week, but don't completely rule him out either.  We'll find out his official status by noon ET on Sunday.

Bengals WR A.J. Green concedes that his injured toe will likely be an issue for the rest of the season.  "It's probably not gonna be 100 percent, but I hope it's just manageable," he said. "I can get through the season and be fine and still play at a high level."  That's not a surprise since toe injuries usually linger and sap players' explosiveness.  It definitely lowers Green's fantasy floor and upside going forward.  As for his Week 8 status, Green said "it's still up in the air."

Playing the best football of his career, Sanu is a viable WR3 against the Panthers this week. Brandon Tate and Dane Sanzenbacher will serve as the #2 and #3 WRs but would be desperation fantasy plays. RBs Gio Bernard and Jeremy Hill should combine for 30+ touches on Sunday.
