Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins said Monday that he's "1,000%" healthy after missing time in August with a thumb injury. We never sensed any concern about it. Hopkins is safe to fire up in Week 1 lineups.

The Texans and WR DeAndre Hopkins agreed to a 5-year, $81 million extension with $49 million guaranteed, according to multiple sources. It keeps him in Houston through the 2022 seasons. Hopkins was a fantasy disappointment last year, ranking 27th among WRs in PPR points and 35th in non-PPR. But QB play was mostly to blame. He's just 2 seasons removed from a 4th-place PPR finish and just turned 25 in June. Hopkins sits inside the top 12 WRs in our dynasty rankings.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins will miss the 2nd preseason game with a hand injury. It's the 1st we've heard of it, and we don't have any other details. HC Bill O'Brien has said Hopkins is fine and that they're just making sure he's good to go for the regular season, according to the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson. We'll keep an eye on this, but we're not moving Hopkins in the WR rankings.

Texans WR Will Fuller is undergoing surgery on his broken collarbone and is expected to miss 2-3 months, according to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain. The short end of that timetable would have him back around Week 5. The long end would keep him sidelined until Week 9. Fuller is no longer worth drafting in standard fantasy leagues. (He might be worth a look at the end of best-ball drafts.) WR Jaelen Strong is the leading candidate to take Fuller's spot on the outside, while slot receiver Braxton Miller could also see a boost in volume. Neither guy is a particularly attractive fantasy target, though, in Houston's run-heavy offense. WR DeAndre Hopkins will continue to dominate the action.

Texans WR Will Fuller broke his collarbone in practice on Wednesday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He's considered to be out "indefinitely." Featuring Braxton Miller, Jaelen Strong and Wendall Williams, the Texans are thin behind Fuller and #1 target DeAndre Hopkins. We wouldn't chase any of the depth guys in fantasy drafts.

The Texans are expected to start QB Tom Savage against the Bengals on Saturday night, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Savage stepped in for the benched Brock Osweiler in the 2nd quarter of yesterday's game and led the Texans back from a 13-0 deficit for a 21-20 win. Savage completed 23 of 36 passes for 260 yards with 0 TDs or INTs. His 85.4 QB Rating was better than Osweiler has posted in all but 3 games this season. Savage will be no better than a low-end QB2 for Week 16, but he looks like good news for WR DeAndre Hopkins. Savage targeted Hopkins on 15 of his 36 attempts (42%) yesterday, completing 8 for 87 yards.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins finished with just 2 catches on 4 targets for 33 yards in Sunday's win over the Colts. The 33 yards were actually a team high, while the targets and catches tied for 2nd behind only TE C.J. Fiedorowicz. QB Brock Osweiler completed just 14 of 24 passes for 147 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT. Houston won this game with its running game, with Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue combining for 162 yards and a score on 37 carries. We might see a similar recipe next week vs. Jacksonville. Hopkins will look best as a WR3 in that one. He's scored just twice in his last 11 outings and been held below 60 yards in 9 of those.

The forecast for today's Texans-Packers game calls for 1-3 inches of snow. Wind won't be a major factor, though, at just 5-10 mph. Green Bay's passing game is safe to keep in fantasy lineups. There's nothing safe about Houston's passing game, but that has nothing to do with the weather.

Houston WR DeAndre Hopkins ended his holdout after 1 day. Good news for fantasy owners, as he won’t lose valuable time alongside new QB Brock Osweiler. Hopkins remains a top 8 WR.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins did not report to training camp and is holding out in pursuit of a new contract, according to ESPN. Hopkins is in entering the 4th year of his rookie contract and is set to earn just $1.5 million. He ranked among the top 6 in catches (111), receiving yards (1,521) and TDs (11) last year. The Texans reportedly aren't negotiating a new deal with Hopkins right now. We'll see which side budges first. We're not moving Hopkins down the WR rankings, although he already felt overvalued at his 1.04 ADP.

The Texans traded up 1 spot to grab WR Will Fuller with the 21st pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. Fuller boasts 4.3 speed and plays at least that fast. He displays instant acceleration off the snap and gets to top speed quickly. That makes him a dangerous option both downfield and after the catch. He averaged a whopping 20.3 yards per reception this past season and 17.4 over his 3-year career at Notre Dame. It remains to be seen whether Fuller can develop into a complete WR, though. His route-running needs work, and his hands are inconsistent. Fuller shows the ability to make tough catches but dropped 10 of 72 catchable targets this past season, according to Pro Football Focus — an ugly 13.9% drop rate. In Houston, he’ll compete with Jaelen Strong and Cecil Shorts for the #2 WR job. Even if he wins it, he figures to be a boom-or-bust fantasy option in the Texans’ run-heavy attack.  We like Fuller's addition for WR DeAndre Hopkins and RB Lamar Miller.

The Texans have agreed to a contract with QB Brock Osweiler, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin.  A 2nd-round pick back in 2012, Osweiler spent his first 3 seasons under QB Peyton Manning.  He played 6 full games this past year, completing 62% of his passes, averaging 6.9 yards per attempt and tossing 8 TDs vs. 3 INTs.  Osweiler remains mostly an enigma, but there's a good chance that he proves to be an upgrade over QB Brian Hoyer.  We like this news for WR DeAndre Hopkins' outlook.  The Broncos, meanwhile, are left with only QB Trevor Siemian on their roster.  They reportedly have some interest in 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is active for tonight’s game against the Patriots. He was added to the injury report on Friday but was listed as probable. Hopkins should be ready for his usual workhorse role and remains a must-start in season-long leagues.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins was added to the injury report on Friday as limited with a hamstring issue. He’s listed as probable for this weekend’s game against the Patriots, and insider Aaron Wilson confirms that he’s “expected to have his usual role.” Even with the 8:30 pm ET kickoff, Hopkins is safe to keep in fantasy lineups.

Texans HC Bill O'Brien confirmed Monday that QB Brian Hoyer will remain the starter going forward.  “I would say he’s our quarterback,” O’Brien said. “We’re going to stick with him. We’ve got a lot of confidence in him.”  Hoyer completed 24 of 36 passes for 293 yards and a career-high 3 TDs in Sunday's win over the Jaguars.  That followed a solid Week 5 showing in relief of QB Ryan Mallett.  We're still not ready to trust Hoyer as a fantasy starter, but he's good news for WR DeAndre Hopkins.

Texans QB Ryan Mallett started Thursday night's game against the Colts but took a big shot to the ribs midway through the 2nd quarter.  He asked out of the game and never got back in.  QB Brian Hoyer got on a roll, and Houston stuck with him.  Hoyer finished 24 of 31 for 312 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT.  The INT was an ugly one late in the 4th quarter that cost the Texans a shot to tie the game.  But this was still the best performance by a Texans QB this season.  Hoyer will almost certainly be the Week 6 starter.  He's still not a fantasy option.  But if he can play like he did against the Colts, it'd be good news for WR DeAndre Hopkins and RB Arian Foster.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) is active for today’s game against the Bucs. He’ll be a full-go and is a must-start vs. the 25th-ranked WR defense.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins has passed his concussion tests and will play against the Bucs today, according to insider John McClain.  He'll be a full-go and is a must-start WR1 in a plus matchup.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) put in a full practice on Friday and is probable for this weekend's game against the Bucs.  It looks like Houston expects him to be receive full clearance.  As long as that's the case, Hopkins will be a WR1 in a plus matchup.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday but is making progress.  "He's going through the concussion protocol but from what I'm told he's looking pretty good," HC Bill O'Brien said.  Consider Hopkins 50-50 to be cleared in time for Sunday's game against the Bucs.
