Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell remained out of practice Wednesday with the knee injury that cost him Sunday's game at Detroit. We'll see whether he's able to rebound ahead of this week's home date with the Cowboys. Rookie Quay Walker (100%) and veteran Krys Barnes (40%) led playing time among non-edge Packers LBs in Detroit.
Packers EDGE Rashan Gary tore his right ACL in Sunday's loss to the Lions, an MRI confirmed Monday. That will end his season and leave Green Bay's defense without it's top-performing pass-rusher. Kingsley Enagbare and Jonathan Garvin figure to both get more playing time with Gary out. We'll see about Gary's status heading into 2023, the 5th and final year of his rookie contract.
Packers EDGE Rashan Gary left Sunday's loss to the Lions on a cart with a right knee injury. He was seen using crutches after the game, according to Nick Menner of WLUK Fox 11. We'll see about the severity of Gary's injury. he'll be a big loss for the Green Bay defense if he's set to miss further time.
Packers EDGE Preston Smith (shoulder, neck) is active for today's game against the Lions.
The Packers have ruled LB De'Vondre Campbell (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Lions. DC Joe Barry said earlier in the week that rookie LB Quay Walker would take over play-calling duties if Campbell couldn't go. That should mean full playing time for Walker, who has moved up our Week 9 IDP rankings. EDGE Preston Smith (shoulder, neck) is questionable for the game after being limited in practice all week.
Packers LB De'Vondre Campbell left in the 2nd quarter of Sunday night's game against the Bills with a right-knee injury. He was shown walking to the locker room with ice on the knee but is questionable to return.
Update: Campbell has been ruled out for the game.
Packers rookie LB Quay Walker got ejected in the 2nd quarter of Monday night's game at Buffalo for shoving someone on the Bills' sideline after a play. We'll see whether Walker faces any further discipline.
Packers EDGE Rashan Gary (concussion) is active for tonight's game against the Bills.
Packers EDGE Rashan Gary (concussion) is questionable for Sunday night's game against the Bills. HC Matt LaFleur said Friday that he's optimistic Gary will clear the protocol and be ready for the game. Gary finished the week with a full Friday practice.
Packers EDGE Rashan Gary left Sunday's loss to the Commanders with a concussion. That'll challenge his availability for next Sunday night's visit to Buffalo.
Packers EDGE Rashan Gary (toe) is active for today's game against the Jets.
Packers EDGE Rashan Gary (toe) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. He turned up on Thursday's injury report after a limited practice. He still took part in a limited Friday practice, though. We'll check Gary's status Sunday morning for IDP lineups.
Packers S Adrian Amos has cleared the concussion protocol and is active for this morning's game against the Giants.
Packers S Adrian Amos (concussion) is questionable for Sunday morning's game against the Giants in London. He has yet to complete the league concussion protocol. We'd bet against him playing in the game but will confirm his status. CB Jaire Alexander (groin) is off the final injury report after putting in full practices each of the final 2 days.
Packers S Adrian Amos left in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Patriots with a concussion. We'll see about his status for Week 5.
Packers CB Jaire Alexander (groin) is inactive for today's game against the Patriots. That would be better news for outside WRs DeVante Parker and Nelson Agholor if Brian Hoyer weren't their QB for the day.
Packers CB Jaire Alexander (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. He's a low-level IDP, and New England will be forced to start Brian Hoyer at QB. So whether Alexander plays figure to have little fantasy impact.
Packers LB Quay Walker took the field for Wednesday's practice after leaving the opener with a shoulder injury, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. It looks like we should expect the rookie to be in the lineup for Sunday night's game against the Bears. We'll watch his practice participation to confirm.
Packers S Darnell Savage sustained a hamstring injury in Friday night's practice, the AP reports. He downplayed the issue afterward, saying: "I don't think it's a concern. It's a fast-people injury. Some of those things you can't avoid. ... I'll be all right." We'd bet on the team proceeding cautiously in returning Savage to action. Vernon Scott stepped in for Savage on Friday.
Packers rookie LB Quay Walker split 1st-team reps with incumbent Krys Barnes in spring, operating next to De'Vondre Campbell. According to Bill Huber of SI.com's Packer Central, "it's been all Walker" there since training camp began. That's not shocking, given Green Bay chose Walker in Round 1 as the 1st off-ball LB. Huber adds that the Packers haven't run a single snap of "dime" defense in camp, an alignment that includes just 1 LB. Green Bay lined up in that formation 24% of the time last season, so we should certainly expect some this year. But the team might also be looking to keep both Campbell and Walker on the field more than it used 2-LB sets in 2021. That would obviously help Walker's IDP upside. Green Bay extended Campbell this offseason at a rate that clearly indicates the plan to keep him in a 3-down role.
