Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie (hamstring) is inactive for today's Wild Card game vs. the Dolphins. That leaves WRs Cole Beasley, Khalil Shakir and John Brown behind Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis. Beasley is the most natural fill-in for McKenzie's slot role.

The Broncos promoted WR John Brown to the active roster. It looks like he'll play vs. the Raiders on Sunday after joining the team on Tuesday. We'd be surprised if Brown was ready for a significant role. He remains off the fantasy radar for now.

The Broncos signed WR John Brown to the practice squad. Brown, of course, couldn't find playing time in a relatively weak Raiders WR corps this summer. He's a poor bet for fantasy value in Denver, especially with WR Jerry Jeudy expected back soon.

The Raiders have released WR John Brown at his request, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Brown was set to open the season no higher than 4th on Vegas' depth chart, behind Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards and Hunter Renfrow. We'll see where he lands, but the 31-year-old is clearly a long shot for fantasy value.

Raiders QB Derek Carr talked up 2nd-year WR Henry Ruggs after minicamp. “Man, he’s been impressive,” Carr said via The Athletic. “The way he’s running routes. He’s being violent in his cuts. I think something clicked in his head. Just like with everybody, you play a season in the NFL, you go back and watch the tape and you’re like, ‘Wow, I know what it takes now.’ And you either do it or you don’t. And he’s showing already that he said, ‘Nah, I’m going to do it.’ And it’s been so impressive.” In 2020, the Raiders miscast Ruggs as a downfield WR, helping contribute to a poor 26-452-2 line (13 games). The ‘Bama product has added weight this offseason and will start opposite either Bryan Edwards (the WR2 favorite) or John Brown. Ruggs is well worth a look in the double-digit rounds of best ball drafts.

The forecast for today's Patriots-Bills game calls for a chance of rain and 20 mph sustained winds with gusts over 30. That certainly puts a damper on the passing games. New England figured to go run-heavy anyway, so the bigger impact is on Josh Allen and Co. We'd also avoid both kickers in this game.

Bills WR Cole Beasley, WR John Brown, RB Devin Singletary and TE Dawson Knox are all inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Don’t expect to see much of QB Josh Allen or RB Frank Gore. Top CB Tre’Davious White is also inactive for Buffalo.

The forecast for today's Ravens-Bills game calls for 15-20 mph winds with gusts of 30+. QBs Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen both do a lot of their fantasy damage on the ground, so neither guy is significantly hurt by the weather. We would slightly downgrade WRs John Brown and Marquise Brown with deep passes likely to be impacted.

The forecast for today's Redskins-Bills game calls for winds between 15 and 20 mph with gusts around 30 mph. It won't be as windy as it was last week, but this is still enough to give slight bumps down to the passing and kicking games. Hopefully you were already avoiding Washington's passing game (including Terry McLaurin) in rookie QB Dwayne Haskins' 1st start. QB Josh Allen and WR John Brown remain fine plays on the Buffalo side. We'd try not to use either K in this game.

Cardinals WRs Michael Floyd and John Brown both missed Wednesday's practice with their hamstring injuries.  Floyd went down in the 2nd half of last week's win over the Seahawks.  Brown made it through the game but obviously wasn't at 100%, going catch-less on 3 targets.  We'll see if either guy gets on the practice field tomorrow.  WR Jaron Brown is behind them on the depth chart.
