ESPN's Chris Mortensen hears that Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) could be limited today, assuming he's active.  Bucs-Titans is expected to be played in the rain, which doesn't help Evans on a bum hamstring.  We won't find out whether he's active until 3 pm ET, and he'll be a risky fantasy start if he is.  Evans is best off on fantasy benches this week if you have another viable option.

According to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, Bucs WR Mike Evans' chances look good for Sunday. "Seems more likely than not for Evans, who was optimistic after today's walkthrough," Auman tweeted. Evans is officially questionable with the hamstring issue that cost him most of the preseason, and he's expected to be a game-time decision. The 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff will make him hard to wait on unless you have another late option as insurance. Players for the Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, Falcons, Niners and Vikings can serve as fall backs, with all of those teams playing Sunday night or Monday night. We'll watch for any Evans updates earlier Sunday.

Bucs WR Mike Evans told the Tampa Tribune that he could play on his ailing hamstring this weekend if he needed to. The team, of course, decided to go ahead and shut him down for the preseason to rest it. “I think it’s smart,” Evans said. “There’s no reason to risk it. I’ve already proven myself. And this way I can just try to get back for Week 1 of the regular season.” This should ease any fantasy concern over Evans a bit. It still would have been nice for the 2nd-year wideout to get more live-action work with his rookie QB, but Evans remains a solid chance to take from about the middle of Round 3 on in PPR drafts.

Bucs WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is not expected to play the rest of the preseason, HC Lovie Smith announced Tuesday.  Evans injured his hamstring in Monday night's preseason game.  Perhaps the team is just being extra cautious here, but we'd think they'd want to get Evans on the field to work with rookie QB Jameis Winston in the regular-season dress rehearsal if possible.  The pair has yet to connect this preseason,    with Winston going 0-for-5 with an INT when targeting Evans.  There's still WR1 upside here, but consider Evans a riskier pick now than he was a few days ago.

Bucs WR Mike Evans left Monday night's preseason game with a hamstring injury, according to insider Rick Stroud.  NFL Network's Rand Getlin hears that Evans was pulled as a "precautionary measure" and "should be fine."  It'll still be a situation to track over the next few days.  Evans' current 12-team ADP is sitting at 2.12.

Bucs WR Mike Evans recently revealed that he trained with 7-time Pro Bowler Randy Moss this offseason.  “It was just me and him,” Evans said. “I was up for there in North Carolina for about a week at the end of March. There’s a lot of knowledge there, man.”  Evans isn't quite the athletic freak that Moss was, but he's an inch taller and has a similar vertical-style game.  “Working with him, I think it will take my game to the next level," Evans added.  After a 13th-place fantasy finish as a rookie, Evans has clear WR1 upside this season.

Evans suffered a left hamstring injury around this time last year, but it clearly didn’t hamper him in-season. After dropping a 68-1,051-12 rookie line, this 21-year-old is in the WR1 discussion.

The Bucs have hired Dirk Koetter as their new OC.  Koetter has spent the past 8 seasons running NFL offenses -- 5 in Jacksonville and the last 3 in Atlanta.  Only 1 of his Jaguars squads finished in the top half of the league in total offense, but he didn't have much talent to work with.  His Falcons teams ranked 7th, 20th and 12th in total offense.  Koetter has some intriguing young prospects to work with in Tampa Bay, specifically WR Mike Evans and TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins.  We'll have more on Koetter's impact on the Bucs throughout the offseason.

Today's Bucs-Bears game in Chicago is expected to be played in windy conditions.  The current forecast calls for 15 mph winds with gusts up to 22.  Any rain in the area is expected to move out before kickoff.  The weather isn't enough for us to move anyone in the game up or down our Week 12 Rankings, but you might use it as a tiebreaker if deciding between 2 similarly ranked options.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Bucs will have both starting WRs for today's game against the Ravens.  WR Vincent Jackson (ribs) only put in a limited practice on Friday, but the rib issue isn't believed to be a major concern.  He's worth keeping in fantasy lineups as a WR2.  Evans (groin) got in 3 limited practices and will return after missing just 1 game.  The rookie is a risky WR3 for Week 6.
