The Broncos have listed QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Falcons. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday but was reportedly still favoring that injured left shoulder. Broncos-Falcons doesn’t kick off until 4:05 pm ET, but we’ll see if we get word on Denver’s starter before then. Whoever is under center -- Siemian or Paxton Lynch -- will get an Atlanta defense that’s allowed the most fantasy points to QBs through 4 weeks.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) returned to practice on Thursday. He'll likely be listed as limited, but this at least gives him a shot to play against the Falcons this weekend. We'll get another update on Siemian tomorrow.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) was not participating in the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, according to insider Mike Klis. That doesn't kill his chances of playing against the Falcons this weekend. But at this point, we're betting on QB Paxton Lynch getting the start.

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak said on Monday that a healthy Trevor Siemian remains his team's starting QB. We wouldn't expect him to say anything else after Siemian's solid performance so far and Denver's 4-0 record. QB Paxton Lynch was impressive in relief of Siemian on Sunday, though. Denver could use Siemian's shoulder injury as a reason to get at least 1 more look at the rookie. We'll keep an eye on the situation throughout the week. Whoever is under center for the Broncos will have a plus matchup at home for the Falcons.

Pro Football Talk hears that Broncos QB Trevor Siemian could miss a game or 2 with his left shoulder injury. HC Gary Kubiak said after Sunday's win that Siemian could have re-entered. But Denver opted to stick with rookie Paxton Lynch, who completed 14 of 24 passes for 170 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs. The rookie flashed a big arm and good mobility. He looks like a great fit in Kubiak's offense. It's certainly within the realm of possibility that Lynch takes this starting job and runs with it. He's worth adding in all 2-QB leagues and even deeper 1-QB setups.

The Broncos believe QB Trevor Siemian has a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder, according to USA Today's Tom Pelissero. Siemian is undergoing more tests to confirm that diagnosis. Considering the injury is to his non-throwing wing, it might be something Siemian can play through. But QB Paxton Lynch played well enough in Sunday's win over the Bucs that Denver won't feel like they need to rush Siemian back.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian suffered a left (non-throwing) shoulder injury in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Bucs. He was carted back to the locker room to be examined and is officially questionable to return. QB Paxton Lynch has replaced Siemian.

Update: Denver plans on Lynch finishing out the game, but Siemian could return if needed, according to the CBS broadcast booth.

The Broncos made it official on Monday morning, naming Trevor Siemian their starting QB. It was a decision by default, more so than a competition that Siemian won. He was wholly mediocre this preseason, completing 62.8% of his passes but averaging just 6.6 yards per attempt with 1 TDs and 2 INTs. Siemian will man a run-heavy offense and will simply be asked to not lose games. He's well off the fantasy radar, even in 2-QB leagues. Rookie QB Paxton Lynch remains a good bet to take over at some point this year.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian has won the starting job, according to ESPN's Jeff Legwold. That certainly looked like the case when HC Gary Kubiak announced that Siemian would start the 3rd preseason game, but this report is more concrete. It's a surprising outcome considering Siemian's resume. He's a former 7th-round pick who completed just 58.9% of his passes with 27 TDs and 24 INTs in 4 years at Northwestern. Siemian has yet to attempt a regular-season NFL pass and has averaged just 6.3 yards per attempt with 0 TDs and 1 INT in 2 preseason contests this year. He's nowhere near the fantasy radar and makes WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders scary picks. We're expecting rookie QB Paxton Lynch to take over at some point this year. QB Mark Sanchez isn't even guaranteed a roster spot.

The Broncos announced that QB Trevor Siemian will start the team's 3rd preseason game. That suggests he's the favorite for the Week 1 starting job, as team's use the 3rd exhibition as a regular-season dress rehearsal. It's surprising news considering Siemian's inexperience and mediocre play so far this preseason. He's completed 65.4% of his passes but averaged just 6.3 yards per with 0 TDs and 1 INT. QB Mark Sanchez, meanwhile has posted a 66.7% completion rate, 7.3 yards per attempt, 1 TD and 1 INT. He's also lost 2 fumbles. This remains a situation to avoid in fantasy football drafts. Siemian under center would be even scarier than Sanchez for WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak announced that QB Trevor Siemian will start the team's 2nd preseason game on Saturday. It's the clearest sign yet that Denver's starting job remains open for competition. Mark Sanchez was OK as the starter in the 1st exhibition, completing 10 of 13 passes for 99 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Siemian went 7-of-12 for 88 yards with the 2nd team. Sanchez's experience still makes him the favorite for the Week 1 call, but we'll see how both guys perform this weekend.

Broncos QB Mark Sanchez is expected to start Thursday's preseason opener, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Sanchez will play the 1st quarter, Trevor Siemian the 2nd and Paxton Lynch the 3rd and 4th. Sanchez appears to have a slight edge in the race for the Week 1 starting job but isn't a lock to hold on to it. None of Denver's QBs are worth drafting in fantasy football right now.

Time to stop snickering at the mentions of QB Trevor Siemian as a potential starter in Denver. The Broncos released their 1st depth chart Monday, which included Siemian listed as co-starter with QB Mark Sanchez. “Nothing’s changed at quarterback,” HC Gary Kubiak said Monday, per The Denver Post. “Mark and Trevor continue to split reps as far as with the first group, and Paxton’s behind those guys.” Kubiak said he will "probably" on Tuesday name the starter for Thursday's exhibition opener, but that the pair will continue to split time ahead of rookie Paxton Lynch. We'd still bet on the more experience Sanchez, but stranger things have certainly happened in preseason than someone beating out the former Jets and Eagles journeyman. We'll be curious to see how Siemian looks in game action.

Mark Sanchez is the favorite for the Broncos' starting QB job heading to training camp, at least according to DT Sylvester Williams. "Going into the camp, I think Coach Kub kind of let us know he’s going to go with Mark and give Mark the opportunity to see what he can do and then go on from there," Williams said on SiriusXM radio. Sanchez has always been the best bet to be under center come Week 1 considering his competition is raw rookie Paxton Lynch and former 7th-rounder Trevor Siemian. Sanchez will need to fall flat on his face to lose the job this summer. That, of course, isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Andrew Mason of the Broncos' official website says the team's starting QB job is a "wide open competition."  Mark Sanchez, Paxton Lynch and even Trevor Siemian have received 1st-team reps in OTAs.  The battle will ultimately come down to Sanchez vs. Lynch.  While both guys have their warts, throwing to Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders could make Denver's QB a spot-start option in fantasy football.

Broncos QB Brock Osweiler went to the locker room in the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s game vs. Pittsburgh with a left shoulder injury. He’s probable to return – excellent news for fantasy owners, as the young passer is 14 of 18 for 214 yards and 4 total scores.

UPDATE: Osweiler returned to the game in the 3rd quarter.
