The Texans on Wednesday placed WR Brandin Cooks and K Ka'imi Fairbairn on the COVID list. HC David Culley has said that LB Eric Wilson -- who also landed on the COVID list Wednesday -- is the team's only unvaccinated player. So Cooks and Fairbairn have a chance to return for Sunday's game against the Chargers. You should plan as though you won't have either guy available, though.

Vikings LB Eric Kendricks got ejected in the 4th quarter of Monday night's game against the Bears after delivering a shot to the head of Chicago QB Justin Fields. The rookie was clearly in his slide at the end of a scramble, and Kendricks made the helmet-to-helmet hit. We wouldn't bet on a suspension following, but we'll see about any further league action.

Texans WR Brandin Cooks (back) is active for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. He was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday, but it’s unclear if the back will be an issue today. Cooks carries more risk than usual in Week 14 fantasy lineups.

Texans WR Brandin Cooks (back) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Seahawks. He was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday. We'll look for further updates on his status. His game kicks off at 1 pm ET on Sunday, so we'll know whether he's active by 11:30 am ET.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott told reporters on Wednesday that his injured knee is expected to be back to 100% in 3-4 weeks. That doesn't help fantasy owners much -- but it would mean that Elliott is healthy for the NFL playoffs. Zeke also confirmed that he'll play through the nagging issue in the meantime. "You’re going to have to drag me off of the field," he said. A plodding Elliott is just a lower-end RB2 in fantasy lineups right now.

Texans WR Brandin Cooks (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Colts. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, but we’re expecting him to play his usual every-down role today.

The Vikings have downgraded MLB Eric Kendricks (biceps) to out for Sunday's game against the Lions. Minnesota might also be missing LB Anthony Barr, who is questionable with knee and hamstring injuries that allowed him only a limited Friday workout this week. LB Nick Vigil should get full playing time in a friendly setting for tackle opportunities. If Barr is also out, then Troy Dye looks like the next LB up for significant playing time. The Vikings did activate DT Michael Pierce from IR. That follows DT Dalvin Tomlinson's return from the COVID list to replenish the middle of the Minnesota D-line.

Texans insider Aaron Wilson confirms that WR Brandin Cooks (illness) is expected to play vs. the Colts on Sunday. Cooks only got in a limited practice on Friday, but unless we hear otherwise, we're expecting him to be ready for his usual role tomorrow.

Vikings LB Eric Kendricks (biceps) and LB Anthony Barr (knee, hamstring) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions. Barr looks more shaky for the game after putting in just 1 limited practice Friday. His absence doesn't matter much for IDP purposes, other than that it would likely mean full playing time for LB Nick Vigil. He has been a much stronger fantasy contributor than Barr this season. Kendricks sandwiched limited practices around a missed Thursday workout. We'll update the statuses for all 3 LBs Sunday morning.

Texans WR Brandin Cooks (illness) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Colts. He only got in a limited practice on Friday but should be fine come Sunday. Just check back that morning to make sure he’s active.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee) is not listed on the final injury report for Thursday night's game vs. the Saints. He was listed as a full participant in practice all 3 days. We're expecting Elliott to cede more work than usual to RB Tony Pollard -- like he did on Thanksgiving -- making both guys RB2s. We still prefer Zeke over Pollard if you're choosing between the 2.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (concussion) put in a full week of practice and isn't listed on the final injury report. He'll play vs. the Saints on Thursday night and should be back in fantasy lineups as a WR1.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed that RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee) will play against the Saints on Thursday night. He even said that he expects Zeke to carry a "serious load." We're not buying that and will be projecting Elliott to cede more work than usual to RB Tony Pollard. But Elliott will be useable for fantasy owners in Week 13.

The Cowboys have designated DE Demarcus Lawrence to return from IR, and Jon Machota of The Athletic reports that he's expected to play Thursday night against the Saints. Lawrence has been out fracturing his left foot in practice leading up to Week 2. We'd hold him out of IDP lineups until seeing at least a game back from the veteran. The Cowboys will not get DE Randy Gregory back for Thursday night's game. He's on IR with a calf injury. We'll see about his Week 14 chances.

Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (concussion) put in a full practice on Monday. Barring a setback, he'll be back for Thursday night's game vs. the Saints.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee) was a full participant in Monday's practice. It looks like the team has decided against holding Elliott out of Thursday night's game vs. the Saints to give his troublesome knee a rest. Zeke tallied 9 carries and 8 targets to RB Tony Pollard's 10 carries and 4 targets on Thanksgiving. We could see a similar split in New Orleans.

Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy tested positive for COVID and will miss Thursday night's game vs. the Saints, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. McCarthy is 1 of 8 members of the Cowboys to test positive, Schefter adds. It's unclear how many are players. We'll keep you updated.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb (concussion) is expected back for Thursday night's game vs. the Saints. Lamb couldn't quite get cleared for the Thanksgiving game against the Raiders but should pass protocol soon, barring a setback. WR Amari Cooper is also eligible to come off the COVID list before the Saints game.

The Cowboys will consider giving RB Ezekiel Elliott some time off to help the bone bruise in his knee heal, ESPN's Ed Werder reports. Werder specifically mentions Zeke being held out of next Thursday night's game vs. the Saints. He adds that IR is not being considered "at this time." HC Mike McCarthy admitted earlier on Friday that he's concerned about Elliott's situation. "Zeke's running style is ferocious," McCarthy said. "He gives a pounding, and he takes some hits. We need to evaluate that, and this week we'll see what the preparation looks like for him." We'll continue to keep an eye on the situation, but Elliott owners should start preparing for him to miss Week 13. Tony Pollard will be a RB1 whenever Zeke sits.

The bone bruise to Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott's knee is expected to linger for the rest of the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones mentioned after Thursday's loss to the Raiders that the team will need to alter the game plan to reduce Zeke's volume going forward. We saw that on Thanksgiving, with Elliott handling 9 carries and 8 targets to RB Tony Pollard's 10 carries and 4 targets. We'll keep a close eye on this split in coming weeks. But, for now, consider Elliott more of a high-end RB2 and Pollard a viable RB3 or flex play.
