Falcons HC Raheem Morris labeled WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) "day to day" on Monday. Mooney went down with a shoulder injury in late July but returned to practice on August 28 and participated in Monday's jogthrough. "I feel good about where he’s at," Morris said. "We’ll see towards the end of the week."
We never got any details on Mooney's shoulder injury, but the Falcons have been non-committal on his Week 1 status all along. He's seemingly trending in the right direction now, though. And if he doesn't play in the opener, he shouldn't be out much longer.
