We don’t have any other details, but Loveland’s status for Monday night’s game vs. the Bears is now in question. We’ll see if he practices on Saturday and how he’s listed on the final injury report. Chicago lost TE Cole Kmet to a season-ending knee injury last week, leaving rookie TE Sam Roush behind Loveland.

TE Colston Loveland led the Bears with 12 targets and 7 catches in Thursday night’s win over the Patriots, finishing with 69 yards and a bruising 12-yard catch-and-run TD in the third quarter. Loveland’s night should have been even bigger, but he committed a pair of uncharacteristic drops. He had just 5 total drops on a 3.8% drop rate across his first 24 games, including playoffs.

QB Tyson Bagent (concussion) is listed as questionable after a full practice on Saturday. If he avoids a setback between now and kickoff, he should get the start. Otherwise it'll be QB Case Keenum at the controls. Either way, it's tough to feel good about any Bears pass catchers in fantasy lineups against a stout Eagles secondary.

Bears QB Tyson Bagent has been cleared to practice Saturday, HC Ben Johnson said. It's a surprise after Bagent didn't practice at all yesterday. QB Caleb Williams (hamstring) remains sidelined on Saturday, putting Bagent on track to start Monday night's game vs. the Eagles, barring a setback. Consider that a slight upgrade from QB Case Keenum, but it's still a brutal spot for the backup QB vs. a tough Philly defense.

He averaged 5.5 yards per pass attempt with 1 TD and 3 INTs that year. None of the Bears catchers are reliable fantasy starts this week, particularly against a tough Eagles secondary.

Caleb Williams will likely miss this week after his hamstring injury in Week 2, and now Bagent himself is in danger of missing Monday Night Football against the Eagles. That would put 38-year-old Case Keenum in line to start if Bagent does not clear the protocol.

The raw fantasy production is extremely concerning, but don’t panic just yet. Loveland led the entire Bears weapons in snaps (65) and routes run (35). So, the underlying usage was still solid.

Bears WR Rome Odunze is "day to day" with the injury he suffered on September 3 and won't practice on Tuesday, HC Ben Johnson said. Odunze is believed to be dealing with a right ankle injury unrelated to last year's foot trouble, but we'll get Chicago's first official injury report of the season on Wednesday.

Bears WR Rome Odunze was hampered by a left foot injury for much of the 2025 season, ultimately missing the final five regular-season games. He returned for the playoffs and didn't have surgery this offseason. But Odunze admitted on Wednesday that the foot might never get back to where it was pre-injury. “This is my new normal,” Odunze said. “And it’s not from a standpoint that I’m always in pain, but the way my foot broke there’s callouses in there that, like, creates a different type of foot structure with those bones. Different types of things that kind of shift things around."

The Chicago Bears selected Stanford TE Sam Roush in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Roush spent all four college seasons at Stanford, capping his time with a career-best 49-545-2 receiving line. Roush profiles as a traditional inline TE, with blocking and red-zone work his primary strengths. He wins contested catches and uses his frame to break tackles. Among the 27 TEs invited to the NFL Combine, Roush ranked 21st in 2025 aDOT (6.3), and third in team market share of receiving yards (22.9%). He ranked seventh in 2025 receiving yards per team pass attempt (1.51) and 19th in receiving yards per route run (1.39). He enters the league at 22 years old.

The Bills and Bears have agreed to a trade to send WR D.J. Moore to Buffalo. The Bears are getting a "mid-round pick" in return, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's a much-needed boost to QB Josh Allen's weaponry -- and frees up opportunity for WRs Luther Burden and Rome Odunze and TE Colston Loveland in Chicago.

Update: The Bears are sending Moore and a 2026 fifth-round pick to Buffalo for a 2026 second-rounder.

The Bears entered a crucial Week 16 rematch with the Packers down two of their top three WRs and needed D.J. Moore to step up. Moore did dramatically, catching a 46-yard TD in overtime as the Bears extended their lead in the tight NFC North race. Moore set a new season-high with 97 receiving yards and tied his best mark with 7 targets.

That strips QB Caleb Williams of two of his top targets and leaves D.J. Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus as Chicago's top two WRs.
