Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney is a healthy scratch for tonight's game vs. the 49ers. He's signed with Kansas City for the 2024 season, but it's tough to be optimistic about his fantasy value considering how this season went. WR Skyy Moore is active for the Chiefs tonight.

Chiefs WR Skyy Moore (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. WR Kadarius Toney was not listed on the injury report. So it looks like both guys will be available for Sunday's Super Bowl, although it remains unclear if either or both will be active. Neither guy has played since mid-December. Rashee Rice, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Justin Watson will likely to continue operating as Kansas City's top three WRs regardless.

Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's AFC Championship vs. the Ravens. He went from a full practice on Wednesday to limited practices on Thursday and Friday. WR Skyy Moore (knee) has been ruled out. Rashee Rice, Justin Watson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Mecole Hardman have been Kansas City's top four WRs in terms of pass routes in each of the Chiefs' two playoff games so far.

Chiefs WR Skyy Moore (knee) is out for Sunday's Divisional Round game vs. the Bills. He was designated to return from IR at the start of the week, got in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday, but then did not practice on Friday. It's unclear if Moore would be ready to go if Kansas City advances to the AFC Championship. WRs Kadarius Toney (hip, ankle) and Justyn Ross (hamstring) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable for the Buffalo game.

Chiefs WR Skyy Moore (knee) was designated to return from IR and limited in Wednesday's practice. He's been out since Week 15. We'll see if Moore makes it back for Sunday's Divisional Round game vs. the Bills, but he's unlikely to be a major factor. He hasn't topped 42 yards or scored since Week 2.

The Chiefs placed WR Skyy Moore on IR with a knee injury. He'll miss at least the final three games of the regular season and Kansas City's playoff opener. Moore was somehow even worse in 2023 than he was during his 2022 rookie campaign, averaging just 6.4 yards per target and 0.84 yards per route. Those are both bottom-15 marks among 100 WRs with 30+ targets through Week 15. Moore is speeding rapidly toward bust status.

Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. With WR Mecole Hardman (thumb) on IR, the Chiefs are down to five WRs: Rashee Rice, Justin Watson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, and Richie James. Rice remains the top fantasy option here but still ran a route on just 52% of pass plays coming off the bye last week. Watson led the way with a 66% route rate and 11 targets in that loss to the Eagles but would still be tough to trust in Week 12 fantasy lineups.

Chiefs WR Justin Watson dislocated his elbow in Thursday night's win over the Broncos, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. X-rays came back clean, but Watson is still scheduled for an MRI. "He's out a few weeks at least, and it could be longer based on the results of the scans," Rapoport adds. Watson has played 44% of Kansas City's offensive snaps and garnered 17 targets through six games, so his absence opens up a little opportunity for the other Chiefs WRs.

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice garnered 5 targets on only 10 routes run in Week 5. It’s eye-popping efficiency for the rising rookie, who tallied 4 grabs, 33 yards, and 1 score. Ahead of Rice, Chiefs WRs ranked as follows in routes: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (29), Justin Watson (23), Skyy Moore (23), Kadarius Toney (10). Rice also played only 20 snaps. So, the rookie will need to see the field more often to become a viable WR3/FLEX, but that’s the potential here – especially as bye weeks continue rolling in. Rice squares off with the Broncos on Thursday night.

Everything was in place for Chiefs WR Skyy Moore to get his 2023 off to a strong start. No Travis Kelce. A plus matchup vs. the Lions. Moore responded by finishing catch-less on three targets. The first two missed connections were slightly misthrown passes by QB Patrick Mahomes. The third was in Moore's hands but knocked loose by a defender. Moore led a heavy WR rotation with a 69% snap rate and ranked second to Marquez Valdes-Scantling with a 64% route rate. Those marks are lower than we'd like to see from a reliable fantasy starter. Kansas City's WR corps figures to evolve throughout the season. Moore is still worth rostering in fantasy football but would be tough to trust in Week 2 starting lineups.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (knee) is officially inactive for tonight's opener vs. the Lions. That leaves Noah Gray as Kansas City's top TE. Chiefs WRs -- particularly Skyy Moore, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Kadarius Toney -- have more target potential with Kelce out.

Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star reports that Chiefs WR Skyy Moore has worked consistently ahead of teammates Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross. He says Moore "has been with 1st every rep at training camp when KC has had 2 WRs." Rice and Ross, meanwhile, "have occasionally mixed in with 1st but overwhelmingly been with 2s." Kadarius Toney, of course, has been out since suffering a setback with the knee that has needed two operations since the end of last season. So it looks like Moore and Marquez Valdes-Scantling as the Chiefs' top two WRs at least for now. Keep that in mind for your fantasy football drafts. Moore leads all Chiefs in our WR rankings and sits much further ahead of Rice there than he does in best ball ADP.

Chiefs reporter Pete Sweeney writes that the connection between QB Patrick Mahomes and WR Skyy Moore “seems to be getting better every day.” Moore looks poised for a prominent early-season role given the recent injury to Kadarius Toney. A Year 2 leap into WR3 range is within Moore’s range of outcomes.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid revealed Tuesday that WR Kadarius Toney has had surgery to clean up the cartilage in his troublesome knee. It's the same knee in which Toney had another "cleanup" procedure this offseason. Reid says "there's a chance" Toney could be ready for the start of the regular season. That means you shouldn't bet on him being there. Look for Toney to slide down our WR rankings. His absence through camp and preseason action will present opportunity in a WR corps with roles up for grabs. Just watch the ADP moves on players such as Skyy Moore and Rashee Rice, to see if anyone starts getting into overvalued range. We'll keep our eyes on reports of roles and summer performances.

Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney is expected to be ready for the regular season opener, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Toney underwent an offseason “cleanup procedure” on the knee he aggravated on Sunday. With Toney sidelined, look for Sky Moore’s ADP (WR50 on Underdog Fantasy) to continue rising.
