The Eagles placed TE Eli Stowers on IR, knocking him out for the first four games of the season. Stowers struggled as a blocker and was quiet as a receiver early in camp and then injured his hamstring in late August. He already looked like a long shot for 2026 fantasy value before landing on IR.

Falcons QB Cooper Rush suffered back spasms Saturday but remains in line to start against the Steelers tomorrow. He moved into the starting role after QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered an oblique injury at practice on Thursday, with undrafted rookie QB Jack Strand out of Minnesota State-Moorhead set to back up Rush.

The Packers have agreed to a four-year extension with TE Tucker Kraft. ESPN reports that it'll pay $75 million, with a $26.5 million signing bonus and a $92 million max value.

The Raiders and TE Michael Mayer agreed to a three-year, $45 million extension with $30 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal makes Mayer the sixth-highest-paid TE in average annual salary, just ahead of recent deals signed by Isaiah Likely and Mark Andrews. Mayer is now signed with the Raiders through the 2029 season.

The Bears have signed a three-year extension with RB D'Andre Swift. The pact will reportedly pay $33.75 million, with $27.5 million guaranteed. That puts Swift under contract through 2029. And the high percentage of guaranteed money either makes it more likely he plays out the full span or means Swift will make even more over the next two years than the annual average indicates.

The Cowboys placed RB Malik Davis (hip) on IR and elevated RB Israel Abanikanda from the practice squad. It's still unclear if Davis has a chance to return this season, but he can be dropped from all redraft rosters. Abanikanda joins RBs Javonte Williams and Emari Demercado on the active roster. FB Hunter Luepke could also handle some carries and targets out of the backfield. There's no clear-cut handcuff to Williams at this point. We'll get our first look as Dallas' backfield when they play the Giants on Sunday night.

Bills RB Ty Johnson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Texans. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, so he’s seemingly on the wrong side of 50/50. Johnson ran a route on 36% of Buffalo’s pass plays and drew a 6.7% target share last year. His absence would likely mean a boost in RB James Cook’s passing-down work.

Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers. The rookie seems to be trending toward playing but admitted on Thursday that he won’t be at 100%. Love is shaping up as a risky Week 1 fantasy start. We’ll look for further updates on his status between now and 4:25 pm ET kickoff on Sunday. RB Tyler Allgeier figures to play a significant role in the opener.

Colts WR Alec Pierce (heel) was limited in practice all week but is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. Ravens. We’re not expecting Pierce to play a full slate of snaps after missing almost the entire offseason. He should be on fantasy benches this week.

Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) was limited in practice all week but is not listed on the final injury report. He’ll play vs. the Eagles on Sunday, but that matchup leaves him as a low-end RB3 in fantasy lineups.

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty (ankle) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report. The August 23 injury that sounded potentially season-ending winds up costing Jeanty 0 games. It’s possible that his workload is scaled back a bit on Sunday, especially with how well RB Mike Washington played this preseason. But Jeanty would be nearly impossible to keep out of Week 1 fantasy lineups in a great spot as a 3-point home favorite vs. the Dolphins.

Cowboys RB Malik Davis suffered a "pretty serious injury" on Friday that "could take him out for some period of time," COO Stephen Jones said. We'll look for more details on Davis' hip injury, but he can be dropped in most fantasy leagues. Emari Demercado becomes Dallas' No. 2 RB for now and can be added in deeper leagues, but the Cowboys could add another body to the backfield. Jones also said that practice-squad RB Israel Abanikanda had "a heck of a camp."

Update: Davis is scheduled for surgery on Saturday and will be placed on IR, ESPN's Todd Archer reports. That knocks him out for at least four games, but it seems like Davis will be out longer than that.

Chargers RB Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) is not listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Cardinals. He graduated to a full practice on Friday after being limited the previous two days. That hamstring doesn’t look like an issue heading into the opener, but Mitchell would be a risky fantasy start with an uncertain role behind lead back Omarion Hampton.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 1 injury report. He was limited on Wednesday but a full go on Thursday and Friday. Flowers should be ready for his usual role against the Colts this weekend. He cracks the top 10 WRs in our PPR rankings.

Jaguars WR Jakobi Meyers (thumb) was limited in practice all week but is off the final injury report. He’ll play against the Browns this weekend, although it’s still unclear if the thumb injury he suffered on August 19 will be a factor. Meyers comes with a bit more risk than usual in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Jaguars RB LeQuint Allen (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Browns after getting limited practices on Thursday and Friday. He’s not on the fantasy radar, but his absence would leave passing-down snaps for RBs Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez.

Giants WR Malik Nabers (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game vs. the Cowboys. He was a full participant in practice all week, but Nabers said Thursday that the decision on whether he plays in the opener ultimately rests with him. The late kickoff could leave fantasy managers hoping to start Nabers in a tough spot, although we expect to get more updates on his status between now and the 1 pm ET games on Sunday. Stay tuned.

Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka (toe) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. He missed most of August with a sprained toe, but it looks like he’ll be ready for a full workload in the opener. Egbuka checks in 24th in the Week 1 WR rankings.

Cowboys RB Malik Davis had to be carted off the practice field on Friday with a hip injury, according to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Nick Harris. We'll look for more details on his status, but Davis figures to at least miss Sunday night's game vs. the Giants, and potentially much longer. He was slated to serve as the Cowboys' No. 2 RB and handcuff to Javonte Williams. Davis' absence leaves RB Emari Demercado behind Williams. RB Israel Abanikanda is on the practice squad.

Bears WR Rome Odunze (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. He was limited in practice all week but told the media on Friday that he plans on playing. We’ll get Chicago’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Odunze will be a risk/reward WR3 if he suits up.
