Packers WR Jayden Reed delivered a big fantasy line in an unconventional way Sunday against the Chargers. He scored from 32 yards out on a carry, one of three he logged before the middle of the second quarter. Reed totaled 46 rushing yards to lead the team in a game that saw RB Aaron Jones leave early with a knee injury. All three of Reed's rushes came before Jones left the game, which could bode well for that aspect staying in his game. He had just two rushes for the season entering Sunday's game. The rookie also tied for the team lead with 6 targets and notched 4 receptions for another 46 yards. This isn't the kind of stat line we can count on Reed repeating, but his usage was encouraging. Reed's 34 routes (among 44 dropbacks) finished basically tied with Christian Watson (36) and Romeo Doubs (33). Watson got 4 targets, tallying 2 receptions for 21 yards and a TD. Doubs posted a 5-53-1 line on 6 targets. It was an optimal matchup for the Green Bay passing offense, especially after losing its lead back. Don't expect as much Green Bay passing success the rest of the way. A Week 12 matchup at Detroit, however, could once again boost passing upside.
Packers WRs Jayden Reed (chest), Christian Watson (hamstring), and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are all listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bears. Wicks put in full practices on Thursday and Friday, so he should play. Reed was limited all week, but we’re tentatively expecting him to play. Watson got in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday before taking a planned day off on Friday. “We felt he had two good days of practice and wanted to give him today and we’ll see where he’s at on Sunday,” HC Matt LaFleur said of Watson on Friday. Watson would be a risky fantasy play if he ends up active for the Bears game.
Packers WR Jayden Reed (chest) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. "I feel pretty good," he said afterward. The fact that he was out there at all bodes well for his chances of playing vs. the Bears this weekend. We'll track Reed's progress over the next few days.
Packers WR Jayden Reed's availability for Sunday's game vs. the Bears is "in doubt," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. X-rays on Reed's ribs came back clean, per Rapoport, but Reed is "pretty sore" and is scheduled for additional testing on Monday. We'll keep you updated on the rookie's status. Packers WRs Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest, ankle) missed Week 17 and are uncertain for Week 18.
Packers WR Jayden Reed is questionable to return to Sunday night's game vs. the Vikings with a chest injury. He's been dealing with this issue since Week 12. Reed had a big first half, catching six of eight targets for 89 yards and two TDs. We'll update his status when we know more.
Update: Reed has been ruled out.
Packers WR Jayden Reed (toe, chest) put in three limited practices this week and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday night’s game vs. the Vikings. WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is doubtful, while Dontayvion Wicks (chest, ankle) is questionable but didn’t practice all week. It’ll likely be Reed and Romeo Doubs as Green Bay’s clear top two WRs in Minnesota.
