The Eagles and QB Jalen Hurts have agreed to a five-year contract extension, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The deal reportedly includes $255 million in total money, with $179.304 million in guarantees -- plus an extra $15 million in incentives. The pact also comes with a no-trade clause, the first the team has ever given out, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This obviously locks Hurts in as Philly's starter for the foreseeable future, which is good news for his spot in the dynasty rankings. This could also be a key move in the Lamar Jackson saga. Hurts' deal -- along with other recent second QB contracts -- seems to set the market.

The Eagles promoted Brian Johnson to OC. The 36-year-old has spent the past 2 seasons as Philly's QB coach, helping QB Jalen Hurts develop into 1 of the game's best. While this will be Johnson's first NFL OC gig, he does have 4 years of OC experience at the college level (2012-2013 at Utah, 2017 at Houston and 2020 at Florida). With Johnson's promotion and HC Nick Sirianni back, there should be plenty of continuity for the Eagles' offense in 2023, despite the loss of OC Shane Steichen.

Smith and Goedert are the lone fantasy bright spots from the Eagles in a rather disappointing game overall. Hopefully the Eagles will have QB Jalen Hurts back under center in Week 18 vs. the Giants.

The former Titan added just 4 grabs for 59 yards. But it’s worth noting that Jalen Hurts attempted only 27 passes, while Brown’s target share wasn’t exactly minuscule at 22.2%. On pace for over 1,500 yards, Brown’s status as a fantasy WR1 remains firm.
