Lions QB Matt Stafford (rib, thumb, ankle) is expected to start tomorrow's game vs. the Vikings, "barring any overnight setbacks," according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Stafford is at risk of not making it through this game, so he's a shaky fantasy play. But whatever he can give Detroit is good news for RB D'Andre Swift, WR Marvin Jones and TE T.J. Hockenson. It also boosts the chances that this game shoots out.

Lions QB Matt Stafford (rib, thumb) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Vikings. He put in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. It sounds like Stafford has a real shot to start this one, despite Detroit having nothing to play for. We’ll find out whether he’s active around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Lions QB Matt Stafford (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. "Sounds like he’s 50-50 whether he plays on his sprained ankle," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweets. We'll see if Stafford gets on the practice field the next 2 days in preparation for Sunday's game vs. the Vikings.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Lions QB Matthew Stafford's ankle injury "doesn't appear too serious." The issue was enough to keep Stafford out for the rest of Saturday's loss to the Buccaneers, but it seems like he'll be available for the finale against the Vikings. Even in a meaningless contest, we'd bet on Stafford playing if he's able. We'll see how the practice week goes for him.

Lions QB Matt Stafford was knocked out of Saturday's game vs. the Bucs with an ankle injury. Now dealing with right thumb, rib and ankle injuries, Stafford should call it a season. QB Chase Daniel figures to start next weekend's finale vs. the Vikings.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford (rib, thumb) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. He’ll be playing through the previous right thumb injury, plus a rib-cartilage injury suffered last week. It leaves him as just a QB2, despite the plus matchup.

Lions QB Matt Stafford (rib) is now expected to start Sunday's game against the Titans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's a sweet matchup vs. the league's 31st-ranked QB defense. But Stafford will be playing through what's been described as a very painful rib-cartilage injury, adding risk to his Week 15 profile. We'd only consider him in 2-QB and superflex leagues. Stafford's availability is obviously good news for RB D'Andre Swift, WR Marvin Jones and TE T.J. Hockenson.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford (rib, thumb) got in a limited practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Titans. Interim HC Darrell Bevell said that Stafford will travel to Tennessee, so the team clearly believes he has a chance to play. If Stafford can't go, Detroit would turn to QB Chase Daniel. He's a capable backup but would still be a downgrade for the Lions skill guys.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Lions QB Matthew Stafford as a rib-cartilage injury and that the team is "not overly optimistic" he'll play Sunday against the Titans. Detroit is reportedly still keeping open the "possibility" that Stafford toughs it out and plays, but you should plan as though he'll sit. We projected Chase Daniel as the starter in our Week 15 rankings.

Although he hasn't been ruled out for Week 15 yet, Lions QB Matthew Stafford is "in doubt" for Sunday's game at Tennessee, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Stafford was reportedly in an "unbelievable amount of pain" after the game. The QB had X-rays on his injured ribs, but the Lions have yet to announce an official diagnosis. We'll have to watch this situation as the week proceeds. Chase Daniel would start in Stafford's place if the QB can't go.

Lions QB Matt Stafford suffered a rib injury on a 4th-quarter scramble in Sunday's game against the Packers. QB Chase Daniel has replaced him. We'll update Stafford's status when we know more.

Lions QB Matt Stafford (thumb) is active for today’s game against the Bears. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, so the right thumb still seems to be an issue. At less than 100% and in a tough matchup, Stafford is just a lower-end QB2 today.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford (thumb) is active for today’s game against the Panthers. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said this morning that Stafford will have “no limitations” with the ligament injury to his throwing thumb — but we’re still considering him a riskier fantasy play than usual this week.
