Mike Evans Back For Week 15 or 16

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (collarbone) "has been pushing to play" vs. the Falcons on Thursday night, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. If Evans isn't cleared for that one, he should be back for the Week 16 game against the Panthers, Schefter adds. Evans returned to limited practices this week for the first time since going down in Week 7. He'll likely be ramped up and won't play a full slate of snaps in his first game back. Hopefully he's able to knock off the rust in Week 15 and then be a potential fantasy starter in Week 16. We'll keep you updated on Evans' progress.

Mike Evans & Jalen McMillan Won't Play Week 14

        5:26pm UTC 12/5/25

Buccaneers WRs Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck) won't play vs. the Saints this weekend, HC Todd Bowles said Friday. Both WRs returned to practice this week and should have a chance to play vs. the Falcons next weekend. Evans is worth stashing in all fantasy leagues. But Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin will again operate as Tampa Bay's top two WRs against New Orleans on Sunday.

Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan Cleared To Practice

        2:08pm UTC 12/3/25

Buccaneers WRs Mike Evans (collarbone) and Jalen McMillan (neck) will be designated to return from IR and practice on Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Evans has been out since breaking his collarbone in Week 7; McMillan since a mid-August neck injury. It's still unclear whether either guy will be ready to play vs. the Saints on Sunday, but we'd at least expect them back by Week 15.

Jalen McMillan Getting Close To A Return

        1:45pm UTC 11/30/25

Buccaneers WR Jalen McMillan (neck) is expected to resume practicing as soon as this week, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. McMillan has been out since fracturing three vertebrae in his neck in a preseason game on August 16. He turned in a promising rookie season, catching 37 balls for 461 yards and eight TDs. McMillan's return to game action is still probably multiple weeks away, though. And he'll be joining a crowded WR corps that could also get Mike Evans back soon. We wouldn't bother adding McMillan to redraft rosters right now, although his return could be a boost for QB Baker Mayfield down the stretch.

Chris Godwin Out A Few More Weeks?

        3:10am UTC 11/7/25

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that the Buccaneers are "thinking late-November or December" for WR Chris Godwin's return from his fibula injury. Tampa gets the Rams in Week 12 on November 23, the Cardinals in Week 13 on November 30, and the Saints in Week 14 on December 7. It sounds like Godwin is targeting a return sometime during that stretch. It'll be at least a week beyond his return before we could trust him in fantasy lineups. And we're skeptical that Godwin will be back to 100% at any point this season. He's not a must-hold in shallower fantasy leagues. WR Tez Johnson and TE Cade Otton will continue to play expanded roles in the short term. WR Mike Evans (collarbone) isn't likely to be back until Week 14 at the earliest.

Emeka Egbuka Catches 4 Balls, Avoids Setbacks

        11:34am UTC 10/21/25

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka returned from a Week 6 hamstring injury and played 53 of Tampa's 68 snaps in their Monday Night loss to the Lions. Egbuka led the team with 12 targets and ranked second with 58 receiving yards. Most importantly, Egbuka emerged from the game healthy and will be counted on to be Tampa's No. 1 WR after Mike Evans broke his collarbone. Evans is slated to miss significant time.

        Mike Evans Has Broken Collarbone

        3:38am UTC 10/21/25

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans broke his collarbone in Monday night's loss to the Lions, HC Todd Bowles said afterward. Bowles said Evans will miss most of the rest of the regular season. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport notes that the typical timeline for a broken collarbone would have Evans out until early-to-mid December. That's somewhere in the Week 14-16 range. That makes Evans stashable in fantasy leagues with IR spots or very deep benches. But he's droppable in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Mike Evans Out With Concussion And Shoulder Injury

        12:23am UTC 10/21/25

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans suffered a concussion and shoulder injury in the second quarter of Monday night's game vs. the Lions and will not return. The concussion will likely cost him Week 8. Tampa Bay has a Week 9 bye, but we'll have to see about the shoulder injury. Evans had just returned from a three-week absence due to a hamstring injury and finished this game catch-less on four targets.

        Mike Evans Active

        9:23pm UTC 10/20/25

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is active for tonight's game vs. the Lions. He comes with more risk than usual in his first action since Week 3. But there's also plenty of upside here in a potential shootout against an injury-riddled Detroit secondary.

Mike Evans Likely To Play Week 7

        11:38pm UTC 10/18/25

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the Lions. He got in a limited practice on Thursday and a full practice on Saturday, sandwiching a planned day off on Friday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Evans is a "pre-game decision" but is "likely to play." Fox Sports' Greg Auman also reports that Evans is expected to play. Despite the late kickoff, we'd feel comfortable having Evans in fantasy lineups. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a Buccaneers WR -- Sterling Shepard, Tez Johnson, or Kameron Johnson, in that order of preference -- rostered as insurance.

        Mike Evans Limited Thursday

        12:41am UTC 10/17/25

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Thursday. We're tentatively expecting him back for Monday night's game against the Lions, but his status bears monitoring over the next couple of days. Hopefully we know Evans' status for this one before inactives are released 90 minutes before kickoff. WRs Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (fibula) did not practice on Thursday and are not expected to play vs. Detroit.

Bowles: No Bucky Irving or Chris Godwin for Week 7; Mike Evans Might Be Ready

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles has already said RB Bucky Irving and WR Chris Godwin are "not in play" for a Monday night clash with the Lions in Week 7. the team does, however, hope to get WR Mike Evans back at practice this week, according to other reports.
