Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 197 yards in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. TE Noah Fant and WR D.K. Metcalf tied for the team target lead with 7. Want caught a team-high 6 passes for a team-high 43 yards. Metcalf managed only 2 receptions for 34 yards. WR Tyler Lockett checked in next with 5 targets, catching only 2 for 17 yards. WR Dee Eskridge was the only other Seahawk with more than 2 receptions. He posted a 3-39 receiving line on 3 targets.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 320 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win at Detroit, his 2nd straight game of 320+ yards. Smith again favored D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, targeting them with a combined 60% of his pass attempts. Metcalf caught 7 of 10 looks for 149 yards. Lockett posted a 6-91 receiving line on 8 targets. TEs Will Dissly and Noah Fant caught the TD passes. Smith gets a tougher matchup in Week 5 (Saints). After that comes a favorable home date with Arizona.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith racked up 325 yards and 2 TDs on 32-of-44 passing in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. Smith threw 52.3% of his pass attempts at WRs D.K. Metcalf (12) or Tyler Lockett (11). No other Seahawk drew more than 4 looks. Lockett posted a 9-76 receiving line. Metcalf caught 5 balls for 64 yards and a TD. The remaining score went to TE Will Dissly.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf ended Week 1 with 7 grabs for 36 yards on a team-high 7 targets. Not exactly the type of line you’d expect from Metcalf, right? The burner didn’t see any downfield targets from Geno Smith, but he did show his strong hands with a few catches in tight coverage. Monday also presented a tough matchup with rising star Patrick Surtain Jr. Sunday turns up a road matchup with the 49ers.

The Seahawks and WR D.K. Metcalf agreed to a 3-year extension worth $72 million, with $52.8 million of that guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. It ends the brief hold-in for the 24-year-old wideout and puts him under contract through 2025.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll confirmed to reporters after practice Wednesday that WR D.K. Metcalf is sitting out practices in hopes of landing a contract extension -- and not because of lingering effects from his winter foot surgery. "We are right there," Carroll said, referring to the negotiations. We'll keep an eye on Metcalf's status.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf reported for the start of training camp on Tuesday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. "It’s unclear whether Metcalf will practice with the team, but his appearance at camp can be considered a positive," Fowler adds. Metcalf skipped June minicamp as he angles for a new contract. But it doesn't look like he's planning to sit out regular-season games.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf did not report for the start of minicamp as he continues to angle for a new contract. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler confirms that Metcalf's absence is unexcused, subjecting him to fines up to $93,000. The Seahawks have made it clear that they'd like to get Metcalf a new deal, but there's obviously still work to be done between the 2 sides. It's a situation to monitor as we get closer to training camp in late July.

According to Seahawks HC Pete Carroll, WR DK Metcalf is out of his walking boot. He’s resumed running, too, per Carroll. In February, Metcalf underwent surgery to have a screw removed from a prior procedure. Per Ian Rapoport, the issue bothered Metcalf throughout last season. Now we’ll see if Seattle’s able to lock up the 24-year-old with a long-term contract. Extension talks are underway.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Seahawks WR DK Metcalf had foot surgery recently to remove a screw from a previous procedure. Metcalf played through foot trouble all season. It's not clear how much this screw removal helps, but it clearly can't hurt. We'll keep an eye on Metcalf's health reports throughout the offseason for any signs of lingering issues. Metcalf, of course, finished 15th among PPR wideouts despite the foot issue and Russell Wilson's missed time. So we're not too worried about the 24-year-old's outlook.

This week's Seahawks-Rams game has been moved from Sunday to Tuesday, according to multiple reports, as the Rams deal with a rash of COVID positives. This game won't be on the DFS main slate but will still count for Week 15 in season-long leagues. We'll see if RB Darrell Henderson, WR Odell Beckham and WR Tyler Lockett are able to clear COVID protocols in time for the game.

Update: This game will kick off at 7 pm ET on Tuesday.

7:20pm EDT 10/15/21

The Seahawks placed QB Russell Wilson (finger) on IR. That knocks him out for at least the next 3 games. Seattle then has a Week 9 bye, so Week 10 is the earliest Wilson could return. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport recently called a Week 10 return the "best-case scenario" for Wilson. QB Geno Smith is in line to start the next 3 games vs. Pittsburgh, New Orleans and Jacksonville.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (foot) is not listed on the final injury report. He was limited on Wednesday, sidelined on Thursday and then limited again on Friday. Metcalf should be ready to play his usual role in Sunday night's game vs. the Steelers.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (foot) did not practice on Thursday. He's been on the injury report with this foot since Week 4 but had put in 6 straight limited practices. It's unclear if he suffered a setback or just got Thursday off. We should learn more tomorrow.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (foot) isn’t listed on the final injury report. He popped up as a limited participant on Thursday and was limited again on Friday -- but he’s evidently fine for this weekend’s game vs. the 49ers. Unless we hear otherwise, Metcalf is safe to get into Week 4 fantasy lineups.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf was added to the injury report with a foot and limited in practice on Thursday. We don't have any other info on his status right now. Check back tomorrow for another update.

The Colts have ruled CB Xavier Rhodes (calf) out for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. That's not particularly impactful for IDP leagues, but Rhodes' absence enhances the matchup for WR D.K. Metcalf.
