Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (hip) is active for today’s game vs. the Panthers. He was added to the injury report and limited on Thursday and then did not practice on Friday, but HC Pete Carroll said Friday that Metcalf was just getting some rest. It seems like Metcalf will be ready for his usual role in this one.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf "will play" today against the Panthers. Officially questionable with a hip issue, Metcalf should be in fantasy football lineups.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. He was added to the injury report and limited on Thursday and then did not practice on Friday. HC Pete Carroll said Friday that Metcalf was just getting some rest and will be fine for Sunday. Metcalf can stay penciled into fantasy lineups for now, but we'll look for further updates on his status.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Thursday with a hip issue. We'll see what he does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 367 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams, setting a new career high for yardage. WRs Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf each had big lines. Lockett delivered 9-128-1 receiving on a team-high 12 targets. Metcalf added 8-127-1 on 8 targets. TE Noah Want claimed the 3rd of Smith's TD throws, catching 4 balls for 42 yards in all. Week 14 holds a decent matchup with the Panthers.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith went 27-of-37 passing in Sunday's OT loss to the Raiders, compiling a season-high 328 yards and 2 TDs. Smith also threw an INT and lost a fumble. He targeted WR D.K. Metcalf with 40.5% of his attempts (15), completing 11 for 90 yards. No other Seahawk caught more than 3 passes. Tyler Lockett hauled in 3 of 7 targets for 68 yards and a TD. RB Travis Homer caught the other score. It was Smith's 3rd game this season with 300+ yards. he added 22 rushing yards on 5 attempts.
The Seahawks and QB Geno Smith struggled through the 1st half of Sunday morning's loss to the Buccaneers. He rallied in the 2nd half, though, to throw for 275 yards and 2 TDs on 23-of-33 passing. Smith found WR Tyler Lockett and WR Marquise Goodwin for 4th-quarter TDs. WR D.K. Metcalf and RB Kenneth Walker III tied for the team lead with 6 receptions apiece. Seattle now gets a Week 11 bye.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith went 26 of 34 (76.5%) for 275 yards (8.1 per attempt), 2 TDs and an INT in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Smith found WRs Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf for his 2 scores. Metcalf tied TE Noah Fant for the team lead with 6 targets. Fant led the way with 5 catches for 96 yards. Metcalf totaled just 37 yards on his 5 receptions. Lockett caught all 5 of his targets for 67 yards.
Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin (groin) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Cardinals. That leaves D’Wayne Eskridge as Seattle’s #3 WR but should just push a few extra targets to WRs D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
Seahawks WRs D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett each came up a little short of their usual playing time in Sunday's win over the Giants but otherwise showed no signs of the injuries that made them questionable. Metcalf led Seattle with 10 targets and 6 catches, taking them for 55 yards and a TD. He narrowly missed more with a couple of near-catches. Lockett posted a 5-63-1 receiving line on 8 targets and dropped another ball that would have produced a long TD. Barring physical setbacks this week, both guys should be strong fantasy starts at Arizona.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Giants. He got in just a limited practice on Friday after suffering a patellar tendon injury last Sunday, so it’s tough to imagine that he’ll be anywhere close to 100% today. Consider Metcalf a risk/reward WR3 in Week 8 fantasy lineups.
The Seahawks expect WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) to play today against the Giants. That's quite a turnaround after he left last week's game on a cart. There's some risk to using Metcalf in fantasy lineups, but it's a positive matchup. We'll watch for any further word on his status before the early games -- and obviously watch for confirmation when the late-game inactives come out.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Giants. He returned to a limited practice on Friday after sitting out the previous 2 days, so Metcalf seems to have at least some chance of playing on Sunday. Fantasy owners should still plan on being without him for now, but we’ll keep you updated on Metcalf’s status.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf is "probably more week-to-week than day-to-day" with the knee he injured against the Chargers last Sunday. Rapoport adds that he'd be "a little surprised" if Metcalf winds up playing this Sunday against the Giants. His absence would put Marquise Goodwin in the starting lineup, coming off a 2-TD game against L.A.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Pete Carroll hasn't quite ruled him out for this weekend's game vs. the Giants, but Metcalf seems like an extreme long shot for that one. Marquise Goodwin is expected to step in as Seattle's #2 WR behind Tyler Lockett.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said in a Monday radio appearance that WR D.K. Metcalf suffered a patellar tendon injury in the win over the Chargers. Metcalf won't need surgery on the knee, according to Carroll, but it's still unclear how long he'll be sidelined. We'll keep you posted on the situation, but Metcalf owners shouldn't plan on having him in Week 8 fantasy lineups.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf injured his knee in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Chargers and was quickly ruled out. That often means a significant injury, but we'll update Metcalf's status when we know more.

Want caught a team-high 6 passes for a team-high 43 yards. Metcalf managed only 2 receptions for 34 yards. WR Tyler Lockett checked in next with 5 targets, catching only 2 for 17 yards. WR Dee Eskridge was the only other Seahawk with more than 2 receptions. He posted a 3-39 receiving line on 3 targets.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 320 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win at Detroit, his 2nd straight game of 320+ yards. Smith again favored D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, targeting them with a combined 60% of his pass attempts. Metcalf caught 7 of 10 looks for 149 yards. Lockett posted a 6-91 receiving line on 8 targets. TEs Will Dissly and Noah Fant caught the TD passes. Smith gets a tougher matchup in Week 5 (Saints). After that comes a favorable home date with Arizona.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith racked up 325 yards and 2 TDs on 32-of-44 passing in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. Smith threw 52.3% of his pass attempts at WRs D.K. Metcalf (12) or Tyler Lockett (11).
