The Seahawks and WR Tyler Lockett have agreed to a 3-year, $31.8 million extension with $20 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The new deal lands Lockett inside the top 25 highest-paid WRs in the league. It's a significant investment -- and confirmation that Lockett is set to play a big role in Seattle's passing game this season and beyond. He's an excellent target at his 13th-round ADP.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll believes WR Tyler Lockett is finally back to 100% after breaking his leg back in December of 2016. Lockett was able to get on the field for last year's opener but finished the season with a career-low 12.3 yards per catch. “Last year was a struggle for him, the offseason for certain, but throughout the season itself he was not able to do things in the same manner that he had done it in years past, and that’s really just workload," Carroll said. "He just couldn’t do as much, had to take care of his legs more. So he’s back at it, he’s really playing fast, he has no restrictions of any kind of after effects of the surgery of last year or since he’s been hurt. So that’s a real positive." Lockett's fantasy value took a hit with the addition of Brandon Marshall, but he's fully capable of beating out the 34-year-old vet Seattle's #2 WR job. It'll be a situation to monitor when training camp opens.

The Seahawks have agreed to a 1-year deal with free-agent WR Brandon Marshall, ESPN reports. The move comes well after Marshall visited Seattle, but he enters a depth chart with opportunity available. Doug Baldwin is the only incumbent at the position who has surpassed 71 targets in a season. We'll see what Marshall has left after a lackluster pre-injury stint with the Giants. He caught just 18 of 33 targets and averaged 8.6 yards per catch over 5 games. His Seahawks deal could reportedly be worth up to $2 million with incentives, less per-year money than Seattle gave Jaron Brown. Unless Marshall proves totally cooked this summer, though, his arrival complicates the target picture behind Baldwin. Tyler Lockett's later-round ADP will make him a solid upside bet. We'll see where others settle on the depth chart and ADP charts over the next couple of months.

The Jets have acquired WR Jermaine Kearse and a 2nd-round pick from the Seahawks in exchange for DT Sheldon Richardson. Kearse is coming off a brutal 2017 season and likely would have been cut if Seattle hadn't found a trade partner. He's, at best, a #3 NFL WR but could certainly carve out a significant role in New York's pathetic WR corps. Still, we wouldn't spend a fantasy pick on Kearse. His departure leaves Doug Baldwin, Paul Richardson, Tyler Lockett and Kasen Williams as the Seahawks' top 4 WRs.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll expects WR Tyler Lockett (leg) to be ready for Week 1 after practicing fully last week. “He practiced well last week and did a good job competing," Carroll said. Lockett hasn't played in any of the first 3 preseason games, though, and won't play in the 4th. He's out this week to undergo a Regenokine process, an anti-inflammatory treatment used to suppress pain. LB K.J. Wright had success with it earlier this offseason, so Lockett (along with DLs Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril, OL Luke Joeckel and LB Michael Wilhoite) is giving it a shot. He won't be a reliable early-season fantasy play but could emerge as an option later on. Lockett is a fine bench stash.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) was on the field for Friday's practice, meaning he's been removed from the PUP list. He's made a successful recovery from last December's broken leg. We're big fans of Lockett's game, but he's battling Paul Richardson and Jermaine Kearse for targets behind Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham in a run-leaning offense. We're expecting Lockett to emerge as Seattle's #2 WR, but he's no more than a fantasy bench stash for now.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (leg) was placed on the active PUP list to open training camp. HC Pete Carroll doesn't expect him to be there for long. Lockett's recovery from last December's broken leg has seemingly gone smoothly, and he was able to put in some limited work this spring. We're expecting him to be available for the start of the regular season, but he might not begin any higher than 3rd on the WR depth chart. Lockett is just a bench stash for now.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Tuesday that WR Tyler Lockett (leg) has a "good chance to be at full speed" for the start of training camp. Carroll added that Lockett has made "a big jump from last week to this week" in his recovery from December's broken leg. Carroll is notoriously optimistic about his injured players, so take this with a grain of salt. We'll be keeping a close eye on Lockett when camp opens next month. At this point, though, there's no reason to believe he won't be ready come Week 1.

Per the Seattle Times, the Seahawks “hope” WR Tyler Lockett can participate at the start of training camp. Lockett broke his right tibia and fibula on December 24, but he avoided ligament damage. He’s been a very limited participant in OTAs. Training camp participation is certainly something we’ll monitor closely, as it can impact his early-season role. For now, Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham represent the top-2 targets for Russell Wilson.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett is "ahead of schedule" in his rehab from December's broken leg and on track to be ready for the start of the 2017 season, according to ESPN's Sheil Kapadia. Lockett is coming off a disappointing sophomore year that saw his numbers dip across the board from his rookie campaign. But he played a chunk of the season with a torn PCL. Still just 24 years old, he's a prime bounce-back candidate in 2017. Kapadia says the starting job opposite WR Doug Baldwin is "wide open." Lockett, Jermaine Kearse and Paul Richardson will compete for it.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett will miss the rest of the season after breaking his leg/ankle in Saturday's loss to the Cardinals. It was a nasty-looking injury and will require surgery, HC Pete Carroll confirmed afterward. We should get a more concrete rehab timeline in the coming days. Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and Paul Richardson will serve as Seattle's top 3 WRs the rest of the way.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett did nothing special amid a poor passing performance for QB Russell Wilson. But his 6 targets and 4 catches ranked 2nd on the team. Lockett managed 41 yards while dropping at least 1 pass. He added 15 more yards in 2 rushing attempts. It was Lockett's 3rd straight game of 6 targets and 4th such line among his past 5 contests. That doesn't make him a safe fantasy start, but he's in play as a flex option in deeper leagues.

1-3 inches of snow is expected in Green Bay today, but winds will be at just 4-8 mph. Those aren't ideal conditions, but we're not expecting weather to have a major impact on the Seahawks or the Packers, who both have experience playing in crappy weather.

The forecast for today's Falcons-Seahawks game calls for a 50% chance of rain with winds of 11-15 mph. That's not quite enough for us to alter our projections, but you could certainly use it as a tiebreaker when considering guys from these 2 passing and kicking games. The weather is a bigger concern for the Falcons, who play their home games in a dome.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (knee) put in a full practice on Wednesday. HC Pete Carroll said afterward that his 2nd-year wideout "looks really good." Lockett was playing through a torn PCL in his previous 2 games, totaling just 1 catch for 13 yards. He posted a 4-99 line in the Week 2 game in which he suffered that injury, though, and has that type of weekly upside if he's healthy. Consider Lockett a risk/reward WR3 for this Sunday's plus matchup against the Falcons' 22nd-ranked WR defense.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin told reporters after Sunday's win that WR Tyler Lockett is playing with a torn PCL. Lockett hurt the knee back in Week 2 and has totaled just 1 catch on 3 targets in the 2 games since. He gets a Week 5 bye to rest up but can't be trusted in fantasy lineups until we see him healthy and producing again.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett injured his knee in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Rams. He's officially questionable to return. We'll update his status when we learn more.

Update: Lockett returned in the 2nd half.

WR Tyler Lockett is set to play a big role in the Seahawks' offense. "He’s a legit player for us, and he’s right in the middle of all our planning and all of our preparation," HC Pete Carroll said. "You have to deal with him in our offense. He’s going to be moved around to a lot. He'll be in a lot of different spots. He can do everything. We’re really pumped about him coming back." Lockett finished 43rd among WRs in PPR points last year, but he played just 61.5% of the offensive snaps and totaled 69 targets. Both marks figure to rise significantly in 2016. Lockett is a WR3 with upside.

In a somewhat surprising move, free-agent WR Jermaine Kearse has agreed to a new 3-year deal to stay with the Seahawks, according to Adam Schefter. It was also Schefter who reported before free agency opened that Kearse wasn't expecting to remain in Seattle and was "looking forward" to joining a new team. A weak WR market seemed likely to elevate his status. We'll see what the money looks like, but the practical impact for fantasy owners is that Kearse will continue to siphon targets in a lower-volume pass offense. He'll be no more than a late-round flier behind at least WRs Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett. We'll see about TE Jimmy Graham's status come summer.
