A.J. Brown Back At Practice, Still Uncertain For Week 6

Patriots WR A.J. Brown (ankle) is being designated to return from IR and will practice on Wednesday, HC Mike Vrabel said. Brown is exactly 5 weeks removed from a high-ankle sprain that was expected to cost him 6 weeks. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that it "may be a bit early" for Brown to play vs. the Jets this weekend, but adds that "he's trying." We'll keep you updated on Brown's progress over the next few days, but we still wouldn't be counting on him in Week 6 fantasy lineups.

Michael Penix On Track To Play Week 6

Falcons QB Michael Penix is expected to start Sunday's game vs. the Bears, barring a setback with his rib injury, HC Kevin Stefanski said. Penix has ignited Atlanta's offense with efficient passing the past 3 weeks, completing 67.5% of his throws at 9.3 yards per attempt. His availability is good news for all of the Falcons' skill-position players, particularly WR Drake London.

        Adonai Mitchell Still "Week-To-Week"

Jets WR Adonai Mitchell remains week-to-week, HC Aaron Glenn said Wednesday. Glenn also revealed that Mitchell had a "small procedure" on his hand. Mitchell has missed the last 3 games and it sounds like he'll miss at least 1 more. He was off to an encouraging start before the injury, though, and is worth keeping stashed on deeper fantasy rosters.

Lamar Jackson Has "Realistic Chance" To Play Week 6

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) has a "realistic chance" to play vs. the Browns this weekend, a league source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. The reporting on Jackson's progress has been generally positive over the past few days. We're tentatively projecting him to play on Sunday, albeit with lower-than-usual rushing production coming off the ankle injury. We'll keep you updated on his status throughout the rest of the week.

Ja'Kobi Lane Could Be Back This Week

Ravens WR Ja'Kobi Lane is expected to practice this week and "has a shot" to play against the Browns on Sunday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Lane has been sidelined since fracturing his wrist in the opener. The rookie had a strong summer and was primed to play a "big role" in the offense, per Garafolo. We'll see just how big a role Lane can carve out behind WR Zay Flowers, who's been dominating targets when on the field this season. For now, Lane is only worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.

Tyreek Hill Could Be Facing Suspension

WR Tyreek Hill remains without a team but could be facing discipline from the league. A jury found him liable for two counts of battery on Tuesday. Hill was found not liable for the eight remaining charges by made his estranged wife. An NFL spokesperson told ESPN last week that the situation remains "under review of the personal conduct policy." Hill's agent, meanwhile, said "a deal could happen any time" for his client, adding that Hill is "close" to 100% and will get there soon. There are still a lot of roadblocks here between Hill and fantasy relevance. He's only worth stashing in deep leagues for now.

Raheim Sanders To IR, Audric Estime Joins Banged-Up Browns Backfield

The Browns placed RB Raheim Sanders on IR with a hip injury suffered in Week 5. He'll miss at least the next 4 games. We don't have any info about his status beyond that, but Sanders can be dropped from all redraft rosters. Cleveland signed RB Audric Estime off the Vikings' practice squad in a corresponding roster move.

Harrison Mevis Out, Blake Grupe In For Rams

The Rams are releasing K Harrison Mevis, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Mevis missed 4 FGs in 5 games, including 2 in Monday night's overtime loss to the Bills (although 1 was blocked). He'll be replaced by K Blake Grupe, who the Rams are signing off the Jets' practice squad. Grupe owns a subpar 81.9% FG conversion rate, but 25.7% of his career tries have come from 50+ yards. He's made 85.9% of his kicks from inside 50 yards. Grupe is on the fantasy radar kicking for a high-scoring offense, starting this week with the Rams implied for a whopping 33 points at home for the Cardinals.

        TreVeyon Henderson Has High-Ankle Sprain

Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Raiders, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. That's typically a 4- to 6-week injury, although Schefter says Henderson "is regarded as a quick healer, so the Patriots are hoping his return is sooner rather than later." It sounds like Henderson should at least avoid short-term IR, but we'll find out for sure later this week. We'd at least plan on Henderson missing the next 2 games vs. the Jets and Bears. Rhamondre Stevenson will be a borderline RB1 for those contests as New England's workhorse. Corey Kiner will step in as a lightly used No. 2 RB.

Matthew Stafford Posts Third QB1 Finish in Four Weeks

Stafford completed 40 of 54 pass attempts for 383 yards and 3 TDs without an INT, good for his third QB1 finish in four weeks. He achieved it while feeding his top WR Puka Nacua a historic 24 targets in the Rams overtime loss to the Bills on Monday Night Football. Stafford became the first QB to throw for at least 380 passing yards in two separate weeks this season.

In just his second week back from a hip and groin injury, Nacua hauled in 17 receptions on a staggering 24 targets for 138 yards and a TD. He was used everywhere on the field, including as a rusher producing nine more yards on 2 attempts on the ground. Dalton Kincaid’s Route Lead Holds as Targets Dry Up

It’s been two completely opposite stories for Kincaid over the first five weeks of the season. After ranking as the TE2 with 20.3 PPR points per game over the first two weeks, he’s ranked as the TE46 with just 3.2 PPR points per game over the past three weeks. Kincaid hauled in one of his 2 targets for seven yards and completed a 2-point attempt leading to 3.7 PPR points to land as the TE38 in Week 5.

James Cook Survives Costly Mistake, Still Finishes as Week 5 RB4

Despite fumbling twice and losing one that nearly cost the Bills the game, Cook scored 22.8 PPR points and finished as the RB4 in Week 5. He handled a season-high 25 rush attempts for 111 yards and 2 TDs while catching his only target for another 7 yards in their overtime win over the Rams. Cook has now finished as an RB1 in three of the past four weeks.

Josh Allen's 121 rushing yards fuel fourth QB1 finish in five weeks

Allen completed a total of just 12 passes after throwing 19 pass attempts for 210 yards with both a TD and an INT. He rushed for game-high 121 yards, a mark that he’s only topped one other time over his career, while adding another TD on the ground.
