Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) missed practice again on Thursday. At this point, he's looking unlikely to play vs. the Dolphins this weekend. TE Harrison Bryant went target-less when Njoku missed Cleveland's last game, so he's not a viable fantasy play if Njoku is out on Sunday.

Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. He said earlier this week that he's hoping to return for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins, but this isn't a good start. Check back tomorrow for another update on Njoku.

Browns TE David Njoku told reporters on Monday that he's hoping to return for this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins. Njoku at that point will be 3 weeks removed from what was reported as a high-ankle sprain. It'd be a relatively quick recovery, but we'll keep a close eye on Njoku's practice participation this week.

The Panthers will start QB P.J. Walker again Thursday night against the Falcons. Walker got pulled for Baker Mayfield at halftime of Sunday's lopsided to the Bengals, and Carolina activated QB Sam Darnold from IR on Monday morning. But the short week leading up to their next game likely contributed to the decision not to make a starter switch. Walker, of course, threw for 317 yards in the Week 8 win at Atlanta. Keep in mind, though, that he only completed 52.8% of his passes in that game and generated 62 of his yards on the single Hail Mary-style throw to WR D.J. Moore at the end of regulation. We'd still try not to use Walker in fantasy football lineups. We'll see about the team's QB plans beyond Week 10.

Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin (groin) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Cardinals. That leaves D’Wayne Eskridge as Seattle’s #3 WR but should just push a few extra targets to WRs D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Browns GM Andrew Berry said Wednesday that he expects QB Deshaun Watson to start once he's eligible to play, Week 13 at Houston. Duh. Cleveland didn't commit all those draft picks and dollars to sit Watson behind Jacoby Brissett. But it never hurts to get official confirmation.

The Bills are acquiring RB Nyheim Hines from the Colts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move continues Buffalo's pursuit of an upgrade at receiving back. The timing -- after a solid game from James Cook -- points to the Bills not believing the rookie is ready for a bigger role. Hines brings more proven NFL ability as a runner. He figures to challenge the playing time of RB Devin Singletary as well. It should be an upgrade in opportunity for Hines, who sits just 68th among RBs in opportunity share for his 2022 games with Indy. He garnered a stronger 11.8% target share in his 5 healthy games. Buffalo ranks 5th in the league in pass attempts but just 16th in RB receptions. We'll see whether that shifts at all with Hines around. Hines is signed through 2024 but has 2 cuttable years beyond this one. His arrival hurts the short-term outlook for Cook, though there's a chance Buffalo moves on from Hines after this year. The Bills are sending RB Zack Moss and a conditional 6th-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Colts. Moss has a chance to push past Deon Jackson on the Indy depth chart, but that's far from a sure thing.

With Chuba Hubbard (ankle) sidelined, Panthers RB D’Onta Foreman saw 26 carries for 118 yards and 3 TDs vs. Atlanta. He capitalized on the plus matchup to post the RB5 line for Week 8. While Foreman showed well as a hard-charging tackle-breaker, we expect Hubbard to return for Week 9 at Cincinnati. That’ll turn this backfield into more of a committee — and make both guys iffy FLEX options as road underdogs. Check back for updates on Hubbard’s health throughout the week.

Panthers interim HC Steve Wilks said Monday that he's sticking with QB P.J. Walker for the Week 9 game against the Bengals. Walker followed an efficient passing day in the Week 7 win over the Bucs with 317 yards in Sunday's OT loss to the Falcons. Walker completed just 52.8% of his passes for the game, with a game-tying 62-yard TD at the end of regulation and an INT. Walker doesn't make for a great fantasy play himself. He has been good for WR D.J. Moore through 2 starts, though.

Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (knee) is inactive for tonight’s game against the Bengals. That likely leaves Sione Takitaki as the #2 LB to Deion Jones. CB Greg Newsome II (oblique) and CB Greedy Williams (illness) are active

Jets WR Elijah Moore went catch-less in Sunday's loss to the Patriots for his 2nd straight game. This time, he saw just 1 targets on a day when QB Zach Wilson chucked it 41 times. Moore was asked about his chemistry with Wilson after the game and said, “I don’t get the ball. I don’t know.” Barring a trade before Tuesday's deadline, Moore will be droppable in standard-sized fantasy leagues.

Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday night's game vs. the Bengals. He'll likely miss multiple games with his high-ankle sprain. Njoku's absence leaves Harrison Bryant as Cleveland's lead TE. TE Pharaoh Brown (concussion, neck) is listed as questionable after returning to a limited practice on Saturday.

Browns LB Jeremiah Owes-Koramoah (knee) is questionable for Monday night's game against the Bengals. He missed the entire practice week and is impossible to trust, given the late kickoff. CB Denzel Ward (concussion) has been ruled out for the 3rd straight game. Cleveland also might be without starting CB Greg Newsome II (oblique) and last week's #3 CB, Greedy Williams (illness). Both are questionable. We'll check their statuses Monday.

Jets WR Elijah Moore re-joined the team on Monday. HC Robert Saleh expects him to play vs. the Patriots this weekend. "We love him," Saleh said. "We know how much he can help us and we just want to help him ... he's still part of this family." We wouldn't be surprised to see the Jets make an effort to get Moore going on Sunday, especially if WR Corey Davis (knee) is out. That said, Moore would still be a shaky Week 8 fantasy play.

Browns WR Amari Cooper snagged 3 of 4 targets for 74 yards in Week 7. He seemed to be on his way to a big day after hauling in a 55-yard deep ball in the 1st quarter. Yet in total, he saw just a 14.8% target share. Cooper's still racked up 70+ yards in 4 of his past 6 matchups. And Cleveland’s game script could force more passing than desired this week against the surging Bengals.

Browns RB Nick Chubb rebounded from an ugly Week 6 to post 16 carries, 91 yards and 1 score at Baltimore. He even added 2 grabs for 16 yards, out-targeting Kareem Hunt (3-2) in the process. This was vintage Chubb, who was charted with 5 missed tackles forced (per PFF) and 4.25 yards after contact per attempt. He’s now reached 15 fantasy points in all but 1 game this season. And with 8 TDs, he's already matched his season-long total from 2021. Week 8 turns up a meeting with Cincinnati.

Panthers interim HC Steve Wilks said Monday that QB P.J. Walker will start this weekend's game vs. the Falcons, even if QBs Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold are ready to return from their ankle injuries. Walker was efficient in Sunday's shocking win over the Bucs, completing 16 of 22 passes (73%) for 177 yards (8.1 YPA), 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Most importantly, he got WR D.J. Moore going. The pair connected on 7 of 10 targets for 69 yards and 1 score. Walker remains a bottom-barrel fantasy option, but Moore is back in the WR3 mix for Week 8.

Browns TE David Njoku suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 7 loss to the Ravens, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Schefter gives Njoku a 2-5 week timetable for return, but high-ankle sprains tend to keep guys out at least 4 weeks. Njoku is only worth stashing in deep leagues and TE-premium leagues. His absence leaves Harrison Bryant as Cleveland's lead TE -- and a potential low-end fantasy spot starter.

Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin caught both of QB Geno Smith's TD passes in Sunday's win over the Chargers, snaring 4 of 5 targets overall for 67 yards. WR Tyler Lockett led Seattle in targets (8) and receptions (7) but managed only 45 yards. QB Geno Smith threw for a mere 210 yards, with TE Will Disly (4) and RB DeeJay Dallas the only 2 other Seahawks to catch multiple passes. WR D.K. Metcalf left early with a knee injury.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy led the team in targets (11), receptions (7) and receiving yards (96) in Sunday's loss to the Jets. He accounted for 23.9% of QB Brett Rypien's 43 pass attempts, 29.2% of his completions and 42.7% of the receiving yards. Rookie TE Greg Dulcich following, tying WR Courtland Sutton for 2nd on the team at 9 targets. He caught 6 of them for 51 yards. Sutton managed just 3 receptions for 23 yards. We'll see about QB Russell Wilson's status (hamstring) for a Week 8 visit to Jacksonville.
