Tuitt out Week 11 | Shark Bites | Draft Sharks

The Steelers have ruled DE Stephon Tuitt out for Sunday's game at Jacksonville with an elbow injury. We'll see about his availability for the Week 12 trip to Denver.

The Steelers have activated DE Stephon Tuitt from the COVID list. That makes him eligible to play in Monday night's high-upside matchup with Washington. He belongs in IDP lineups for Week 13.

Steelers DE Stephon Tuitt will miss Tuesday's game against the Ravens after landing on the COVID list. That gives Tyson Alualu a starting opportunity in a matchup with tackle upside. And Robert Griffin III stepping in for Lamar Jackson (also on the COVID list) likely adds sack upside.

The Steelers fear that DE Stephon Tuitt tore a pectoral muscle in Sunday night's win over the Chargers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Tuitt will reportedly get an MRI to confirm and then figure out his next step. If the muscle is torn, it would almost certainly end his season.

Update: ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that tests confirmed the torn pec. Tuitt will have surgery and miss the rest of the season.

The Steelers have ruled DE Stephon Tuitt (back) out for Week 8. It'll be his 2nd straight game missed. Tuitt's absence raises the rushing ceiling for Lions RB Ameer Abdullah. Aside from Leonard Fournette's 90-yard TD run in Week 5, Pittsburgh has allowed 3.8 yards per carry to 3 opponents with Tuitt around, 4.4 to 4 opponents with Tuitt out. For IDP owners, DE Tyson Alualu carries some deep sleeper appeal in Tuitt's absence.

The Steelers have ruled DE Stephon Tuitt out for Sunday's game against the Bengals because of a back injury that kept him out of practice all week. That's bad news for the run defense. Tuitt missed weeks 2 and 3 with a biceps injury, and the Steelers allowed huge rushing numbers to the Bears plus a little more than 5.0 per carry to Dalvin Cook. It's good news, on the other hand, for Bengals RB Joe Mixon. ILB Vince Williams, meanwhile, returned to practice Friday after sitting out the 1st 2 days with a hip issue and then didn't appear on the final injury report. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he deemed those "maintenance days."
