Lindsay on track for training camp | Shark Bites | Draft Sharks

Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (wrist) is on track to be ready for the start of training camp next month, HC Vic Fangio said. “It’s a particular injury that they tell me it’s going well, they just don't want it to get bumped on yet,” Fangio explained. “He could go out there and do everything, but they just want to use this time and the next five weeks to make sure he’s ready to go.” Lindsay is coming off a brilliant rookie season that saw him average 5.4 yards per carry and finish 13th among RBs in PPR points. But he'll need to fend off fellow 2nd-year back Royce Freeman for touches this summer.

Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (wrist) won't be able to participate in OTAs in late April, HC Vic Fangio said. Lindsay had wrist surgery in late December and was originally expected back by the end of April. So it sounds like his rehab is going a bit slower than expected. Lindsay should still be back by training camp, but the missed time this offseason isn't ideal for the former undrafted free agent. He's been going in the 4th round in March FFPC best-ball drafts.

The Broncos have hired Rich Scangarello as OC. He's bounced around to multiple college programs over the past 2 decades and also spent time with the Raiders, Falcons and 49ers. Scangarello worked under Kyle Shanahan in those last 2 stops, which is promising. He's never called plays at the NFL level, though, making this a tough hire to decipher for fantasy purposes.

The Broncos have fired HC Vance Joseph, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Joseph lasted just 2 seasons in Denver, going 5-11 in his debut and 6-10 this year. We'll see who GM John Elway tabs as his replacement.

Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay is undergoing surgery on his wrist on Friday and is expected to be sidelined 3-4 months, NFL Network's James Palmer reports. That timeline would have Lindsay back on the field sometime between the end of March and the end of April. He'll miss some of the offseason program but should be a full-go by the time training camp rolls around. Although he won't play in the game, Lindsay became the 1st ever undrafted offensive rookie to be selected to the Pro Bowl. He finished the season with 1,037 rushing yards and 9 TDs on 5.4 yards per carry and also showed pass-catching chops with a 35-241-1 receiving line.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay will miss Week 17 because of the wrist injury that knocked him out of Monday night's loss to the Raiders. Lindsay will have further testing on the wrist. The worry is a potential scaphoid fracture and ligament damage. We'll see about the extent, but the issue is at least serious enough that he'll also miss the Pro Bowl. It shouldn't impact his 2019, but we'll keep an eye on the situation. For Week 17, Royce Freeman and Devontae Booker should see more work against the Chargers.
