ESPN's Ed Werder considers it "likely" that Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott reports to the team before Week 1. Werder guesses that'll happen between the preseason finale and the regular season opener. This sounded more like an opinion than a report. But Werder remains 1 of the industry's most plugged-in reporters, so the opinion carries plenty of weight. Zeke carries elevated risk in fantasy drafts until he actually shows up. But we're willing to gamble on him at any point from pick #4 on.
Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (calf) is active for today’s game vs. the Eagles. We’re expecting him to share backfield work with Tony Pollard, leaving both guys as just RB3 or flex plays.
Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (calf) is expected to play against the Eagles today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Zeke remained limited in practice all week and might be returning to a committee backfield alongside Tony Pollard. Last time we saw Elliott 2 weeks ago, he tallied 12 carries and 3 targets to Pollard's 11 carries and 2 targets.
The Cowboys list RB Ezekiel Elliott as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles with the calf injury that kept him out last week. Elliott put in limited practices all week and seems likely to take the field. Fantasy football owners might be better off if he turns up inactive, though. If Elliott does play, we'd bet on something near an even touch split between Elliott and Pollard. We'll keep an eye on Elliott's status leading up to the early Sunday games.
Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (calf) will be limited in practice on Wednesday, HC Mike McCarthy said. That presumably puts Zeke on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Eagles. We might see him and Tony Pollard share backfield work like they did in Week 14 -- especially after Pollard's big outing vs. the 49ers last week.
Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (calf) is inactive for today’s game against the 49ers. It’s a surprise after reports all week that he’d play through the calf injury again. His absence today leaves Tony Pollard in a feature role. It’s a tough matchup behind a beat-up offensive line, but projected volume has Pollard in the RB2 mix.
