NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Chargers RB Melvin Gordon's "current plan is to report in the window that spans from Week 6 through Week 8." Gordon needs to report by Week 10 to make this season count toward his eligibility for free agency in the spring. That means at least starter duty for RB Austin Ekeler for at least a third of the season, and potentially half the year or more. We'll start seeing today how big a share RB Justin Jackson will get. He certainly belongs on rosters in nearly all fantasy football leagues as well.

Broncos RBs Melvin Gordon (shoulder) and Phillip Lindsay (hip) are active for today's game against the Bills. They were limited in practice all week, but we never heard any concern about their availability for this one. Both guys should be ready for their regular roles.

Broncos RBs Melvin Gordon (shoulder) and Phillip Lindsay (hip) were limited in practice this week and are listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Bills. We've heard no concern about their availability, but check back around 3 pm ET on Saturday to make sure they're active.

Broncos RB Melvin Gordon (illness) isn’t listed on the final Week 7 injury report. He’ll play against the Chiefs on Sunday. We’re expecting Gordon to lead a committee backfield alongside Phillip Lindsay.

The Broncos won't discipline RB Melvin Gordon for his DUI, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Gordon still figures to receive a 2-3 game suspension from the NFL, although the league usually waits until the legal process plays out before handing down the ban. We'll keep an eye on the situation, but Gordon figures to be back out there come Week 7.

Broncos RB Melvin Gordon didn't travel with the team to New England and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. Per insider Mike Klis, Gordon has strep throat and the team doesn't want it to spread. His absence leaves the backfield to Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman. Last year, Lindsay out-carried Freeman 224 to 132, while Freeman edged Lindsay in targets 50 to 48. That was under a different OC, but we're still expecting Lindsay to lead a committee attack on Sunday. Check out the updated projections for Denver's backfield.
