ESPN's Adam Schefter hears that the Bucs are "optimistic" that WRs Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) will be able to play vs. the Chiefs tonight. "But Tampa Bay wants to test both pregame to make sure," Schefter adds. We won't get the Bucs' inactives until around 7 pm ET, and Godwin and Jones will both carry elevated risk if they are active. So we'd try to keep them on fantasy benches this week. This news makes WR Russell Gage a shakier Week 4 fantasy play but helps QB Tom Brady.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Chiefs. He got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday. HC Todd Bowles labeled Godwin a game-time decision on Friday. We'll look for further updates on his status, but he's probably better off on fantasy benches this week.

After returning to a limited practice on Wednesday, Bucs WR Chris Godwin did not practice on Thursday. He's now listed on the injury report with "hamstring" and "rest," so it looks like this was a planned day off. We'll see what Godwin does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. He's now 17 days removed from that hamstring injury and evidently has a chance to play vs. the Chiefs on Sunday night. We'll get another update on Godwin's status tomorrow.

Playing through a tweaked hamstring, Bucs WR Russell Gage recorded 12 catches, 87 yards and 1 score. The veteran entered Sunday as questionable on the injury report with a hamstring. Tampa Bay, of course, played without Chris Godwin (hamstring), Mike Evans (suspension) and Julio Jones (knee), but it’s still impressive that Gage garnered a 31% target share. Cameron Brate and Leonard Fournette were closest at 15% apiece. Look past Gage’s 3rd-quarter fumble, and this outing couldn't have gone much better. We'll see on the Bucs’ injury situation, but Week 4 turns up an intriguing home matchup with Kansas City.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Packers. He didn't practice all week and has no timetable for return.

Bucs WRs Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) remained sidelined on Thursday. They're both looking unlikely to play vs. the Packers this weekend. WR Scotty Miller (calf) was a full-go on Thursday; WR Breshad Perriman (knee) was limited.

Bucs WRs Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. Jones seemingly has a better chance than Godwin to play vs. the Packers this weekend. But, with WR Mike Evans suspended, Tampa could be down to WRs Russell Gage, Breshad Perriman and Scotty Miller atop the depth chart.

Bucs WR Mike Evans has been suspended 1 game for his role in Sunday's fight with the Saints, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Evans is considered a repeat offender after getting ejected from a game and suspended for fighting back in 2017. We'll see if Evans appeals this ruling, but fantasy owners need to plan on being without him in Week 3 for now. We'll see if WRs Julio Jones (knee) and/or Chris Godwin (hamstring) can make it back for Sunday's game vs. the Packers. If not, the Bucs will be down to WRs Russell Gage, Breshad Perriman and Scotty Miller.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) is officially out for Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He's expected to miss a few weeks with this hamstring injury, so don't count on having him for Week 3.

Bucs WR Russell Gage (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. That's a downgrade from his 3 limited practices last week. Gage's availability for this weekend's game vs. the Saints is now uncertain. WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) didn't practice on Wednesday and won't play on Sunday.

Bucs WR Chris Godwin could miss "a few weeks" with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday night's win over the Cowboys, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "There's optimism it's not a major injury," Pelissero adds. We'll let you know if we get a more concrete timetable for Godwin's return. But considering he was just working back from the torn ACL, don't plan on using Godwin in fantasy lineups until October at the earliest. His absence is a boost for WRs Mike Evans, Julio Jones and Russell Gage.
