Travis Kelce had a vintage performance in the Chiefs 33-30 overtime win over the Colts, posting 25.1 PPR points for his highest-scoring game since Week 7 of 2023. The 14th-year TE finished Sunday night catching nine of his team-high 11 targets for 101 yards and a TD.

Kenneth Walker backed up his 34.1 PPR point, RB2 Week 1 finish with another RB2 finish (pending Monday Night Football) in Week 2 after scoring 23.8 PPR points. The Chiefs newest RB handled 24 attempts for 117 yards but it was his 6 receptions for 61 yards after receiving a career-high 10 targets that stood out.

Patrick Mahomes' 29.0 fantasy point performance in the team’s Sunday night win marks his fourth-highest scoring week since the start of 2023. The Chiefs QB completed 32 of his 47 pass attempts for 382 yards and 3 TDs without throwing an INT. He also accounted for 17 rushing yards on two carries, both happening in overtime.

Chiefs RB Kenneth Walker III dominated the Broncos in his debut. Walker ran the ball 23 times for 173 yards, including a 60-yard TD. He also caught three of 6 targets for 18 yards and an additional TD. He looked similar to the Super Bowl MVP we saw last season with Walker and appears to be the focal point of the offense.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid confirmed on Tuesday what's been obvious for a while now: QB Patrick Mahomes will start the opener vs. the Broncos. Mahomes has had a smooth recovery from his December ACL and LCL tears, getting full clearance for training camp and avoiding any setbacks. Mahomes didn't play this preseason, though, and is expected to wear extra protection on that left knee at least at the beginning of the season.

Chiefs RB Ken Walker sounded alarms when he missed Tuesday's practice with a foot issue. He dealt with a foot issue last summer before splitting backfield work with RB Zach Charbonnet. But this latest issue doesn't seem serious. Walker was on the field Tuesday without a limp or extra protection on the foot, and ESPN's Nate Taylor reports that he's "fine."

After reportedly getting plenty of work in his first training camp with the team, Kenneth Walker isn't expected to practice Tuesday because of a foot issue, per Chiefs beat writer Matt Derrick.

The Athletic's Jesse Newell is the latest Chiefs insider to suggest Kenneth Walker is headed for a huge role this season. Newell writes that Walker has gotten the ball "all the time" in camp, especially in the screen game.

Cyrus Allen continues to make headlines as one of the Chiefs' offensive standouts this training camp. Most recently, he beat the team's first-round defensive back, Mansoor Delane, during 1-on-1 drills, with the video coming courtesy of Fox 4 Kansas City's Harold Kuntz.

New Chiefs RB Kenneth Walker caught only 31 passes over 17 games last season, but Kansas City should unlock more receiving production. Beat writer Jesse Newell writes that Walker “figures to be heavily involved in what was a dormant screen game last season.”

Jesse Newell of The Athletic calls Chiefs RB Emmett Johnson an early training camp "faller." Here's more from Newell. “The Chiefs were thrilled to get Emmett Johnson in the fifth round of April’s draft, and I’d think his long-term prospects with the team remain unchanged. But as of now … he’s been a clear fourth in the running back pecking order in practices, behind both Brashard Smith and Emari Demercado [plus starter Kenneth Walker].”

It was another eventful offseason for Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, highlighted by getting hitched to Taylor Swift. But HC Andy Reid says Kelce showed up to training camp in good shape and is primed for another productive season.

It was clear the Chiefs had big plans for RB Kenneth Walker when they signed him to a 3-year, $43 million deal earlier this offseason. But that plan might be even bigger than we initially thought. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports from Chiefs camp that Walker will get the "majority" of the carries and can "do everything," including playing a big role in the passing game.

Chiefs WRs Xavier Worthy and Cyrus Allen left Saturday's training camp practice with injuries, but neither is serious. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Worthy hurt a shoulder but "is believed to be OK." Allen, meanwhile, has been diagnosed with a shin bruise, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. We'll see when these guys are able to get back on the practice field, but it doesn't sound like either is in danger of missing the start of the season. Worthy remains primed to open as Kansas City's No. 2 WR, while Allen seems to be making a strong push for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart behind Rashee Rice, Worthy, and Tyquan Thornton.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Chiefs are "evaluating" a shoulder injury for WR Xavier Worthy.

Chiefs WR Cyrus Allen collided with CB Kaiir Elam as a gunner on special teams and was carted off with an apparent left knee injury, according to ESPN's Nate Taylor. Allen left with his jersey over his face. The injury looked serious, but was later revealed to be a shin bruise. Allen had been tearing up early in training camp, generating buzz about a potential role as the Chiefs No. 3 WR. He had been earning the trust of Patrick Mahomes.

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice has been leaving training camp practice early each day for knee rehab, according to Ron Kopp Jr. of Arrowhead Pride. Rice had knee surgery in May, followed by a 30-day jail sentence for violating probation. Kopp also relayed a video of Rice running a post (against no defenders) and it looked…less than stellar. Rice’s slow foot speed and lumbering movement wouldn’t beat any NFL CB in man coverage. He is clearly still recovering from his injury and surgery.

Chiefs WR Cyrus Allen did some work with the first-team offense in training camp yesterday. The fifth-round rookie drew praise from Andy Reid according to Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports. Reid said that Allen had a good day and Mahomes has some trust in Allen. Goldman also reported second-year WR Jalen Royals struggled, which could create an opening for Allen to pass him if that continues.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid said Friday that WR Rashee Rice (knee) “is doing great” and is “cleared to go" for the start of training camp. It was a tumultuous offseason for Rice, who had right knee surgery in mid-May and was sentenced to 30 days in jail just a few days later. But he's not expected to face further punishment from the league, and his knee appears on track for Week 1.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (knee) has been cleared to participate fully in training camp, HC Andy Reid said Friday. "He's been working so hard that you have a pretty good feel that he's in a good place," Reid added. "We've got to see how things go and not make any predictions about [Week 1]." Mahomes is still only a little over seven months removed from tearing his left ACL and LCL, but all signs continue to point toward him being ready for the opener. The bigger story from Friday, though, was Mahomes confirming that he plans to run less this season.
