        Cam Skattebo INACTIVE

Giants RB Cam Skattebo (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Eagles. He returned to a limited practice on Friday, which should have him on track for a Week 10 return. Skattebo’s absence today figures to leave RB Devin Singletary in a high-volume role. RBs Phil Mafah and Greg Desrosiers are active behind him.

        Pat Bryant Active

Broncos WR Pat Bryant (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Panthers. It’ll be his first action since Week 4. Bryant’s return is a boost to Denver’s passing game, but he’d be a desperation fantasy start.

Rams TE Colby Parkinson (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Commanders. He was listed as questionable after getting in just a limited practice on Friday. Parkinson shouldn’t be in Week 9 fantasy lineups but adds downside to TE Tyler Higbee’s outlook.

Saints WR Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Browns. We’re expecting the rookie to be limited in his debut, coming off a lengthy absence. Keep Tyson on fantasy benches this week, but he could be a starting option soon.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (rib) is active for today’s game vs. the Dolphins. He was limited in practice all week but should be a full-go today. St. Brown remains an elite fantasy start.

        George Pickens INACTIVE

Cowboys WR George Pickens (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Colts. He’s been battling this hamstring issue for multiple weeks and will take at least one week off. Pickens leaves behind a 20.5% target share, freeing up more work for WRs CeeDee Lamb and Ryan Flournoy. Lamb was already a must-start, of course, but Flournoy is now an upside WR3 play.

Hunter Henry Has "Realistic Chance" To Play Week 9

Patriots TE Hunter Henry (foot) has a "realistic chance" to play vs. the Packers this afternoon, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Henry is listed as questionable after getting in just a limited practice on Friday. Unfortunately, we won't get New England's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET today. Try to avoid both Henry and TE Eli Raridon in Week 9 fantasy lineups.

Sam Darnold Might Miss Week 10, Too

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (quad, rib) is in danger of missing next week's game vs. the Raiders, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's not a surprise after HC Mike Macdonald labeled Darnold "week to week" on Wednesday. Seattle gets a Week 11 bye, so sitting next week would give Darnold three weeks to heal up, ahead of a big Week 12 game vs. the 49ers. We'll keep tabs on Darnold's status this coming week, but consider QB Drew Lock the early favorite to start against the Raiders.

Lamar Jackson Plans To Return This Season

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (thumb) told teammates this week that he plans on playing again this season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jackson's throwing-thumb injury is expected to sideline him "at least" six weeks, per Rapoport, "although it could take up to nine weeks." The short end of that timetable would have Jackson back for Week 15; the long end would keep him out until Week 18. Baltimore's playoff chances might also impact if and when Jackson returns. We'll continue to keep you updated on his progress. He's certainly worth keeping stashed in superflex leagues and potentially deeper 1-QB leagues, but fantasy managers should still not be banking on contributions from Jackson down the stretch.

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (rib) is expected to play vs. the Dolphins today, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. St. Brown was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, but we never sensed any concern about his status for this one. He remains a must-start.

Jaylen Wright Won't Play Week 9

Dolphins RB Jaylen Wright (quad) won't play vs. the Lions today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Wright has averaged 4.8 carries and 0.5 targets as Miami's No. 2 RB over the last four games, so his absence could be a slight boost to RB Ollie Gordon's workload. RBs Kaytron Allen and Carlos Washington figure to be active behind Gordon today.

Brian Robinson Out At Least Four More Games

The Falcons placed RB Brian Robinson on IR with his hamstring injury. Robinson has already missed two games and will now miss at least four more. Week 14 is the earliest we'll see him again. Robinson can be dropped from all redraft rosters. Khalil Herbert, who has at least four more games as the No. 2 RB, might be worth stashing in deep leagues as the short-term Bijan Robinson handcuff.

Mack Hollins Activated For Week 9

Patriots WR Mack Hollins (calf) has been activated from IR and will play against the Packers tomorrow. It'll be his first action since Week 4. Hollins averaged 5.3 targets, 4.0 catches, and 52 yards over the first three games, running a route on 69% of pass plays. He's a welcome addition for a WR corps still without A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs, but Hollins would be a shaky Week 9 fantasy start.

Demarcus Robinson Activated, Christian Kirk To IR

The 49ers activated WR Demarcus Robinson (ankle) from IR and removed him from the Week 9 injury report. He'll play vs. the Raiders tomorrow for the first time since Week 2. Robinson ran a route on 60% of 49ers pass plays in the opener, catching 2 of 3 targets for 50 yards and a score. He could be returning to a significant role for a banged-up WR corps, but Robinson would be a flier in Week 9 fantasy lineups. San Francisco also placed WR Christian Kirk on IR today. He suffered a meniscus injury in practice this week, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

        Saints Releasing Kendre Miller

The Saints are releasing RB Kendre Miller, according to New Orleans Football's Nick Underhill. Miller has been abysmal this year, averaging just 2.8 yards per carry, but he leads New Orleans with 57 attempts. It's a surprising move with RB Travis Etienne still on IR and RB C.J. Donaldson out for Week 9. That leaves the Saints with RB Alvin Kamara and RB Audric Estime, who spent part of last season and this offseason with the team but was just re-signed off the Browns' practice squad earlier this week. We'll see if the Saints elevate RBs Zamir White or Jarquez Hunter from the practice squad. Miller's departure adds upside to Kamara's Week 9 rushing volume, but New Orleans might just give Miller's work to Estime and White or Hunter.

Update: The Saints elevated Zamir White from the practice squad. He joins Alvin Kamara and Audric Estime in the backfield for the Browns game.

Jordyn Tyson Expected To Play Week 9

Saints WR Jordyn Tyson is expected to play against the Browns on Sunday, insider Jordan Schultz reports. It'll be the regular-season debut for the eighth overall pick of this year's draft, who's been out since going down with a hamstring injury in mid-August. Tyson was dominating training camp before the injury and has exciting upside. But we'd be surprised if he played anywhere close to a full slate of snaps this weekend considering how cautious the Saints have been bringing him back from this injury.
