Fournette inactive, Hyde active | Shark Bites | Draft Sharks

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle, foot) is inactive for today’s finale against the Texans. RB Carlos Hyde (knee) is active and will join T.J. Yeldon and David Williams in the backfield. It's a situation to try to avoid in fantasy lineups. Yeldon is the best bet if you’re desperate.

The Jaguars have fired OC John DeFilippo after just 1 season. The 2019 Jags ranked 20th in total yards, 19th in yards per play and 26th in points. The offense, of course, lost QB Nick Foles to a broken collarbone in Week 1 and rolled with 6th-round rookie QB Gardner Minshew most of the year. We'll see who HC Doug Marrone tabs as his new OC.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (illness) is inactive for today’s finale against the Colts. Rookie Ryquell Armstead should operate as the lead back, with Devine Ozigbo as the #2 RB.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday's game against the Colts due to an illness. He had been listed as questionable with a neck injury. So it'll be Ryquell Armstead as Jacksonville's lead back in the finale. The rookie has mustered just 3.0 yards per carry on 25 attempts this season but also caught 9 of 15 targets for 92 yards. Armstead goes 5’11 and 220 pounds but averaged a mediocre 4.9 yards per carry across 4 seasons at Temple and tested as a subpar athlete this spring. He's an unexciting, volume-based fantasy play for Week 17

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (neck) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the Colts. He was limited in Wednesday's practice before being sidelined on Thursday and Friday. It's certainly possible that Fournette is held out of Sunday's finale. Jags-Colts doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET, but we'll look for an update on Fournette's status on Sunday morning. His absence would leave rookie Ryquell Armstead as Jacksonville's lead back.

Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette has been busy in the passing game early in training camp. New OC John DeFilippo says that's a significant part of his offense. "We’re trying to find different, unique ways to get him the football – not just handing it to him," DeFilippo said. Fournette has been productive as a receiver through 2 NFL seasons, averaging 2.8 catches and 23.2 yards per game. It sounds like he could top those numbers in 2019.
