Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (COVID) is officially inactive for today's game vs. the Steelers. He should be back for Week 17. Noah Gray and Blake Bell will handle TE duties for Kansas City today.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce did not clear COVID protocols and is out for today's game vs. the Steelers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kelce should be back for Week 17. His absence leaves Noah Gray and Blake Bell as Kansas City's TEs. Gray is the preferred fantasy option but would be a desperation play. WR Tyreek Hill should dominate Chiefs targets today.

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill has cleared the COVID protocol and is ready to face the Steelers on Sunday, according to multiple reports. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the team is also expected to activate TE Travis Kelce from the COVID list today but that he has not yet cleared the protocol. The move is "in case" he clears Sunday before game time. Continue to plan as though you won't have Kelce in your fantasy football lineup.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is not experiencing COVID symptoms, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That improves the vaccinated Kelce's chance of being cleared in time for Sunday's game vs. the Steelers. We'll continue to keep a close eye on the situation.

The Chiefs have placed TE Travis Kelce on the COVID list. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that because he is vaccinated, Kelce has "a chance" to return for Sunday's game against the Steelers. The entire fantasy football community will be watching closely.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (neck) is not listed on the final injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. Kelce should play his usual role on Sunday against the Titans.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (neck) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We've heard nothing to suggest that he's in danger of missing this weekend's game vs. Tennessee, but check back tomorrow to see how he's listed on the final injury report.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (neck) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He got banged up in last week's win over Washington but was able to return and looked just fine. He should be ready for Sunday's game vs. the Titans, but we'll update his status again tomorrow.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce suffered a "stinger" on a hard hit late in Sunday night's loss to the Bills, HC Andy Reid told reporters after the game. That's a generally minor injury to the neck/shoulder area. We'll watch Kelce's status this week but don't expect his availability to be threatened for a Week 6 trip to Washington, barring some change in the diagnosis.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce returned to practice on Monday. He missed 4 days with what the team called back and hip tightness. We'll keep an eye on him, but consider Kelce's fantasy stock unaffected.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce left Thursday's practice with what the team is calling back and hip tightness. That doesn't sound like a long-term issue, but we'll certainly keep an eye on the 1st-round fantasy pick.

The Chiefs believe they need to make more plays in the short and intermediate passing games, according to NFL Network's James Palmer. Palmer notes that the team is looking to get the RBs more involved in the passing game (which we've heard multiple times this offseason) and adds that rookie TE Noah Gray could emerge as a factor with an increase in 2-TE sets. It's a situation to track this summer. There's certainly room for a 3rd viable fantasy option to emerge in Kansas City behind WR Tyreek Hill and TE Travis Kelce. We might also just see Hill and Kelce set new career highs in target share this year.

The forecast for today's Jaguars-Chiefs game calls for periods of heavy rain. The good news is that winds are expected to be only 6-7 mph. They aren't ideal conditions, but it's not enough for us to adjust our projections for these passing games. You might use the weather as a tiebreaker if deciding between 2 similarly ranked players, though.
