Brady Cook To Start Week 16

        7:55pm UTC 12/17/25

Jets QB Brady Cook will start this weekend's game vs. the Saints, HC Aaron Glenn said Wednesday. We assume this means QBs Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields' injuries will keep them out again -- because there's no reason for the Jets to willingly go back to Cook. He mustered just 176 yards on 5.3 yards per attempt in the Week 15 loss to the Jaguars. RB Breece Hall is the only Jet to crack fantasy-starter territory in our Week 16 rankings.

Breece Hall Will Play Week 15

        9:20pm UTC 12/12/25

Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) is not listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Jaguars. Reportedly dealing with knee soreness, he went from no practice on Wednesday to limited on Thursday to full participation on Friday. We’re not expecting the knee to be a factor this weekend. But Hall falls outside the top 24 in the Week 15 RB rankings with QB Brady Cook at the helm for New York.

Mason Taylor Out For Week 15

        4:41pm UTC 12/12/25

Jets TE Mason Taylor (neck) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. That leaves Jeremy Ruckert as New York’s likely lead TE, but you’re not messing with him in fantasy lineups in this Brady Cook-led passing game.

Brady Cook Will Start Week 15

        4:31pm UTC 12/12/25

Jets QB Brady Cook will start this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars, HC Aaron Glenn announced Friday. QBs Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) will be out with their injuries. Cook, an undrafted rookie out of Missouri, will be making his first career start in this one. He completed just 47% of his passes at 5.4 yards per attempt in relief of Taylor last week. The Jets' passing game is a total avoid in fantasy lineups if you can help it. And Jacksonville's DST is a strong Week 15 start.

        10:57pm UTC 12/11/25

Jets QBs Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. It's looking like QB Brady Cook will make his first career start vs. the Jaguars this weekend. You should be trying to avoid the Jets passing game in fantasy lineups.

Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's dealing with a sore knee but should be available for this weekend's game in Jacksonville. We'll see how Hall is listed on Friday's final injury report.

        Breece Hall Sidelined Wednesday

        6:23pm UTC 12/10/25

Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt says Hall is dealing with "knee soreness." It sounds like there's still a good chance Hall is able to play vs. the Jaguars this weekend, but we'll keep you updated on his status. Hall's absence would leave RB Isaiah Davis in a high-volume role.

Tyrod Taylor And Justin Fields Out Wednesday

        6:13pm UTC 12/10/25

Jets QBs Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Aaron Glenn said. They'll be evaluated later this week. QB Brady Cook will get the first-team reps on Wednesday and is the favorite to start this weekend's game vs. the Jaguars. Cook was abysmal last week, completing 47% of his passes at 5.4 yards per attempt against a beatable Dolphins pass defense. RB Breece Hall is the only viable fantasy starter in this offense -- and he's not even a comfortable play with Cook.

John Metchie is an easy player to root for, and now his play on the field is giving fantasy football fans even more reasons to cheer. Making his second straight start in Week 12 against the Ravens, Metchie led the Jets in catches (6) and receiving yards (65) and scored for the second consecutive game in the Jets' 23-10 loss.

Justin Fields Benched For Tyrod Taylor

        5:26pm UTC 11/17/25

The Jets are benching QB Justin Fields in favor of QB Tyrod Taylor for this weekend's game against the Ravens, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. Fields is coming off one of his better passing performances of the season in Thursday night's loss to the Patriots -- but it still resulted in only 116 yards and one TD. The Jets have been held under 120 passing yards in three of Fields' last four games. He's completed 62.7% of his passes at just 6.2 yards per attempt on the season.

        Justin Fields Stays Maddeningly Inconsistent

        1:38pm UTC 11/14/25

Jets QB Justin Fields turned in a useful fantasy line in Thursday night's loss to the Patriots. He completed 15 of 26 passes for just 116 yards. But he found a wide-open WR John Metchie for a 22-yard TD in the third quarter and didn't throw an INT. Fields didn't do anything spectacular as a passer, but he avoided egregious misfires and wasn't helped by a handful of drops by his WRs, particularly Adonai Mitchell. Most importantly, Fields ran 11 times for 67 yards and a five-yard TD on a read-option on New York's first possession.

Garrett Wilson Out At Least Four Games

        10:36pm UTC 11/13/25

The Jets placed WR Garrett Wilson (knee) on IR ahead of Thursday night's game vs. the Patriots. Wilson was already ruled out for that one but will now miss a minimum of three more games. That makes Week 15 his earliest potential return. If Wilson makes it back then, he'd get the Jaguars, Saints, and Patriots in the final three weeks of most fantasy seasons. That's a fine trio of matchups, so Wilson could still help fantasy squads. But, considering this injury and the state of New York's passing game, we wouldn't consider him a must-hold in shallow fantasy leagues.

Garrett Wilson Out "At Least" 3-4 Weeks

        12:02am UTC 11/11/25

Jets WR Garrett Wilson is expected to miss "at least" 3-4 weeks with his latest knee injury, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Wilson does not need surgery, but we can't imagine the 2-7 Jets rushing him back. The timeline puts Wilson out through at least Week 13. He's worth stashing in you have the bench space, but we wouldn't consider Wilson a must-hold in shallower fantasy leagues. The Jets are left with a wasteland of WRs Tyler Johnson, Isaiah Williams, Arian Smith, Allen Lazard, John Metchie, and Adonai Mitchell. Avoid the group in fantasy. TE Mason Taylor theoretically finds strong target opportunity, but he'll remain tough to trust as long as Justin Fields is under center.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson (knee) is expected to play vs. the Browns on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Wilson is listed as questionable but was a full-go in Friday's practice, so we never had much concern about his status for this one. QB play is a concern for Wilson, as always. But he should see enough volume to turn in a nice fantasy line against Cleveland's 16th-ranked WR defense.
