Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs, hip) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. That should mean target boosts for WRs Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba – and potentially TEs Noah Fant, Colby Parkinson, and Will Dissly. Jake Bobo figures to slide into a top-3 WR role.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Cardinals. The rookie didn’t practice all week, so it’s possible that he misses more than one game. RB Ken Walker is in for a big workload today.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (hip, ribs) remains a game-time decision for this afternoon's tilt with the Cardinals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "There are more concerns about his availability than there were the past two weeks," Schefter adds. We won't get Seattle's inactives until a little after 2:30 pm ET, making this a tricky situation for Metcalf owners. You need to have a late-game alternative rostered if you're hoping to start Metcalf. He'll obviously carry elevated risk if he does end up playing.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) is not expected to play vs. the Cardinals today, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. No surprise after the rookie missed practice all week. We'll see if Charbonnet can make it back for Week 8. His absence leaves DeeJay Dallas as Seattle's No. 2 RB -- and Ken Walker in a true workhorse role.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs, hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, and HC Pete Carroll labeled him a game-time decision. Metcalf has been playing through the rib injury, so it's likely the hip injury he suffered last week that has him uncertain. It's worth noting that Metcalf did return to last week's game after hurting his hip. We'll look for further updates on his status, but we won't get Seattle's inactives until a little after 2:30 pm ET on Sunday.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He didn't practice all week, so it'd be a surprise if he played. RB Ken Walker is in for a massive workload with his Seahawks 7.5-point home favorites this weekend.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs, hip) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. The team has been managing his practice reps due to the rib injury, so it's tough to know how big a concern the new hip injury is. Check back tomorrow for another update on Metcalf's status for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. The rookie is in legitimate danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals. That'd mean even more work for RB Ken Walker in this plus matchup. Check back tomorrow for another update on Charbonnet.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs, hip) did not practice on Wednesday. He's been playing through the rib issue for a few weeks but picked up the hip injury in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. Metcalf was eventually able to return to that one and should be available for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals. But we'll keep an eye on him over the next few days.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. It's the first we've heard of the issue, but the rookie's status for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals is now uncertain. Charbonnet handled just two carries and two targets in last week's loss to the Bengals.

Commanders QB Sam Howell had an efficient outing in Week 6 vs. the Falcons, completing 14 of 23 passes for 151 yards with 3 TDs. Each of Howell’s scoring tosses on Sunday came within 25 yards of the end zone and returned a very solid 18.3 fantasy points despite the lack of passing yardage. With this performance, Howell has now finished as the QB13 or better in five of six games in 2023. Week 7’s matchup vs. the Giants sets up nicely for the second-year starter to continue his streak of fantasy relevance.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett paced the team with 6 catches and 94 yards in Week 6. As usual, Lockett proved effective while working downfield. He earned a 19.5% target share from Geno Smith, who remained inconsistent against Cincinnati. Note: D.K. Metcalf picked up a hip injury on Sunday but was able to return. Regardless of Metcalf’s Week 7 status, Lockett will remain a clear fantasy starter vs. Arizona.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker totaled 89 yards and 1 score in Week 6. Coming out of a bye, the second-year back out-carried Zach Charbonnet 19-2 while holding the edge in targets (3 to 2). Walker scored on the opening drive but was held in check for most of the day, finishing with just 3.3 yards per carry. Seattle heads home to face the Cardinals in Week 7.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf hurt his hip in the third quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals. He headed back to the locker room and is officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Metcalf returned to the game.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs) is not listed on the final Week 6 injury report. He didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday but was a full participant on Friday. Seattle is just managing this rib injury during the week. Metcalf will be a full-go vs. the Bengals on Sunday.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. Metcalf has been playing through this injury since Week 2 and should be ready for this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. But it's not ideal that he's still missing practice coming off the bye week.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that QB Geno Smith's knee is "fine" coming off the bye week. Smith briefly exited the Week 4 win over the Giants with a knee injury but was able to return. He should be fine for this Sunday's game vs. the Bengals.

QB Sam Howell and the Commanders were pathetic in the first half of Thursday night's game vs. the Bears, digging themselves a 27-3 hole. Howell headed into the break with just 71 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 INT on 9-of-13 passing. He chucked it another 38 times in catch-up mode in the second half, though, and threw for 317 yards and a pair of scores to finish with a 388-2-1 passing line. It wound up being a strong fantasy outing -- but it's tough to feel good about Howell moving forward after this performance. He failed to get WR Terry McLaurin (4-49-0) or WR Jahan Dotson (3-30-0) going and took another five sacks against a Bears defense that had TOTALED two sacks over the first four weeks. Howell gets favorable matchups again the next two weeks vs. the Falcons and Giants but won't be a recommended QB1 play.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll expects QB Geno Smith to be okay after suffering knee and ankle injuries in Monday night's win over the Giants. Smith missed the final series of the first half of that game but returned for the second. “He kind of twisted his knee a little bit," Carroll said. "It really was knee and ankle at first, but I think it just came down to taping up the ankle and then his knee was a little bit — he might be sore [Tuesday.] He’ll need a break.” Smith said that he experienced "some slight pain, but overall, I was just happy that I came out OK.” Seattle gets a well-timed Week 5 bye. It sounds like Smith will be able to play come Week 6.

Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf hauled all 3 targets for 31 yards with a TD in Week 4 vs. the Giants. Teammate Tyler Lockett had small success as well, recording 4 catches for 54 yards in the primetime contest. Rookie wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba notably tied Lockett for a team-leading 6 targets in the game, though his opportunities only manifested into 3 catches for 5 yards. For as frustrating as the first-year WR has been, it’s worth remembering that he’s only a few weeks removed from surgery for a wrist fracture. Perhaps he’ll have more success following the team’s bye week in Week 5.
