Fantasy Football News

49ers WR Mike Evans (ribs, Achilles) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. He’ll get a Week 8 bye to keep healing up. With WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring) also out, San Francisco is down to WRs Brandin Cooks, Jordan Watkins, and Jacob Cowing on the active roster, with WR Christian Kirk (calf) looking ready to come off IR. We’d try to avoid 49ers WRs in fantasy lineups, though. TE George Kittle and RB Christian McCaffrey should both be busy in the passing game against Atlanta.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (calf) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Raiders. He hurt his half on Thursday and then didn’t practice on Friday. The calf injury is “minor,” according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, but Nacua will be a game-time decision for Week 7, HC Sean McVay said. That could leave fantasy managers in a tough spot with this game kicking off at 4:25 pm ET. We’ll see if we get an update on Nacua on Sunday morning.

Raiders RB Mike Washington (foot, back) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Rams. He missed the final 2 practices of the week, but HC Klint Kubiak said Friday that he expects Washington to play. He’s not a viable fantasy starter, but his absence would be a boost to RB Ashton Jeanty.

Texans RB David Montgomery (quad) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants. RB Jawhar Jordan (quad) is also out, leaving Dare Ogunbowale as Houston’s No. 2 RB. Woody Marks should dominate backfield work and is a nice fantasy play with the Texans 10.5-point home favorites.

Dolphins WR Caleb Douglas (ankle) practiced all week and is off the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. It’ll be the rookie’s first action since going down in Week 2. Douglas posted a 5-94-0 line in his debut and should step back into a big role. But he’s not a recommended Week 7 fantasy start.

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (knee) missed his second straight practice on Friday. Insider Jeff McLane still expects Goedert to play vs. the Cowboys on Monday night, but we'll see how he's listed on Saturday's final injury report.

Eagles WRs DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) missed their second straight practices on Friday. Insider Jeff McLane gets the "sense" that both guys will miss Monday night's game vs. the Cowboys. We'll see if they're able to practice on Saturday and then how they're listed on the final injury report. Smith and Wicks' absences would leave Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper as Philadelphia's top 2 WRs.

Browns RB Quinshon Judkins (ankle) practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, and is off the injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. RB Dylan Sampson (knee) is listed as questionable, but HC Todd Monken said Friday that he expects him to play. Sampson isn’t a fantasy option in his first action since the opener, but he could siphon some targets from Judkins.

Titans WR Calvin Ridley (hip) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Browns. He didn’t practice on Thursday or Friday. Ridley’s absence would mean a boost in snaps for WR Elic Ayomanor, but he still wouldn’t be a viable fantasy play in this Cam Ward-led “passing game.”

Titans RB Tyjae Spears (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. He went did not practice, full, limited this week. Spears shouldn’t be in your fantasy plans, but his absence would likely mean a boost in passing-game work for RB Tony Pollard.

Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Broncos. The team seems committed to sitting him until he’s at least close to 100%, which should help his fantasy value longer term. RBs Tyler Allgeier (19 touches) and Bam Knight (17 touches) split backfield work almost right down the middle with Love out last week. Both guys land in RB3 territory in our Week 7 rankings.

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (hamstring, knee) is out for Sunday night’s game vs. the Seahawks. He remained sidelined in practice all week. WR Xavier Worthy drew a team-high 7 targets (23% share) with Rice out last week. He’s in the WR3 mix despite the tough matchup against Seattle’s second-ranked WR defense.

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (shoulder) practiced all week, including full workouts on Thursday and Friday, and is off the final injury report. He was knocked out of last week’s game but will play vs. the Bengals on Sunday. Bateman isn’t much of a fantasy option, but his presence adds risk to WR Ja’Kobi Lane’s role. Lane played behind WR Devontez Walker even after Bateman left last week.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. HC Jesse Minter said Friday that the team is still “working through” whether Jackson will play. Jackson, meanwhile, revealed that he was diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain. He said he’s “headed in the right direction” with the recovery but is still dealing with some pain. “Just trying to move how I move. If I can't do that, I can't help my team,” Jackson said. He seems truly uncertain for this weekend’s game. We’ll look for further updates and get Baltimore’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

Bears TE Cole Kmet will be placed on season-ending IR with the right knee injury he suffered in Thursday's win over the Patriots, HC Ben Johnson announced. We're still waiting for details on the injury. While Kmet hasn't been a fantasy factor, he played 65% of Chicago's offensive snaps and ran a route on 37% of pass plays through Week 6. That's a sizable role that needs replacing. Rookie Sam Roush will step in as the Bears' No. 2 TE but might not assume all of Kmet's work. We might see fewer 2- and 3-TE sets from the Bears, which would be particularly good news for WR Luther Burden. Burden has run a route on just 32% of multi-TE plays so far this season.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (concussion) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report. He’ll be ready for his usual role on Sunday and is a viable spot starter with Minnesota sporting a 24-point implied total against the Colts’ 22nd-ranked TE defense.

Vikings RB Jordan Mason (thumb) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Colts. He was a full participant in practice all week, so we’re expecting him to play. We’ll see if Minnesota activates him from IR on Saturday. Assuming he’s a go, Mason figures to split backfield work with RB Aaron Jones in a plus matchup against the Colts’ 26th-ranked RB defense.

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report. He’ll be ready for his usual role on Sunday against a Colts defense missing top CB Sauce Gardner.

Falcons RB Brian Robinson (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers. He’s averaged 8.8 carries per game on a 31% snap rate this season. Expect RB Bijan Robinson to pick up most of that work. Atlanta has RBs Khalil Herbert and Jam Miller on the practice squad.

Jets RB Breece Hall (quad) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Dolphins after getting in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. HC Aaron Glenn said that a decision on Hall’s status won’t come until Sunday. We wouldn’t expect a full workload for Hall in his first game back, especially with RB Braelon Allen playing well in his absence. But Hall would still be worth starting in most cases against Miami’s 30th-ranked RB defense. Allen will be a fringe RB1 if Hall remains out.
