Washington CB Bashaud Breeland is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles after missing the past 2 weeks with a sprained ankle. But he put in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday and then a full workout Friday. He also said he's confident he'll play Sunday, according to multiple reports. Breeland was delivering top-5 fantasy DB numbers before he got hurt.
The Panthers on Tuesday agreed to a 3-year, $24 million deal with CB Bashaud Breeland, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The former Washington corner will get $11 million guaranteed and take over a starting job on a Carolina D that traded away Daryl Worley. Breeland should continue to be a decent IDP contributor. The Washington secondary, meanwhile, will now move forward without 2 of its top 3 CBs from the past 2 seasons. (Kendall Fuller went to the Chiefs in the Alex Smith trade.)
Washington CB Bashaud Breeland (knee) is active for tonight's game against the Eagles.
Washington CB Bashaud Breeland (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game at Arizona. He was a limited participant Thursday and Friday after a full workout Wednesday. We'll check on his game status Sunday. OLB Trent Murphy (ankle) is also oddly listed as questionable. He didn't appear on Wednesday's injury report and then was marked a full participant Thursday and Friday. We'll confirm his status Sunday as well. Washington's defense carries sleeper potential against a Cardinals team that has proved to be a strong matchup for team-D scoring in fantasy.
Washington CB Bashaud Breeland is active for today's game against the Eagles. He had missed the past 2 games after suffering an ankle sprain early in Week 3 but is OK to return to IDP lineups.
Washington CB Bashaud Breeland has a "moderate" high ankle sprain, HC Jay Gruden told the Washington Post. Breeland will reportedly be evaluated on a week-to-week basis, which almost certainly means that he won't play Sunday against the Browns. Replacement Dashaun Phillips also suffered a hamstring injury in the game, so Washington could be down to starting rookie Kendall Fuller across from CB Josh Norman. Cleveland would figure to target the rookie plenty if that winds up being the case. We'll keep an eye on the situation this week.
Update: Breeland has officially been ruled out.
