Mike Evans Iffy For Week 4

49ers GM John Lynch conceded on Thursday morning that WR Mike Evans (ribs) is iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Broncos. "He is old school in his mindset and he doesn’t want to miss," Lynch said. "Mike will make every attempt and we’ll see where that goes." We'll keep you updated on Evans' status over the next few days, but fantasy managers should be making other plans for Week 4. Evans' absence would leave the Niners down to Deebo Samuel, Jacob Cowing, and Jordan Watkins as the healthy WRs on the active roster. WR KhaDarel Hodge missed Wednesday's practice with a knee injury. WRs Brandin Cooks and Dante Pettis are on the practice squad. TE George Kittle and RB Christian McCaffrey could play even bigger roles than usual against Denver.

Zack Baun's Week 4 Status in Doubt

The Eagles listed LB Zack Baun as a non-participant for Wednesday's practice because of a concussion. Philly's designations were estimated because the team did only a walkthrough in the wake of Monday night's loss at Chicago. The shortened week, however, also leaves less time for Baun to advance through the concussion protocol and make it back for Sunday's home date with the Rams.

        Mike Evans Out Wednesday

49ers WR Mike Evans (ribs) did not practice on Wednesday. He's considered "day to day," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said earlier this week, but Evans isn't a lock to play vs. the Broncos on Sunday. WR KhaDarel Hodge, who was the primary replacement for Evans last week, also missed Wednesday's practice with a knee issue.

        Keaton Mitchell Limited Wednesday

Chargers RB Keaton Mitchell (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He was spotted in a walking boot on his left foot in the locker room but said he was ok, per ESPN's Kris Rhim. We'll keep an eye on Mitchell's status, but the fact that he practiced today should have him on track to play vs. the Seahawks this weekend.

Terrance Ferguson & Colby Parkinson Out Wednesday

Rams TEs Terrance Ferguson (ankle) and TE Colby Parkinson (knee, shoulder) were sidelined for Wednesday's practice. Ferguson is expected to miss this weekend's game vs. the Eagles, and Parkinson might join him on the inactive list. That'd leave Tyler Higbee as the Rams' top TE, but the matchup vs. the Eagles and the return of WR Puka Nacua would still leave him short of TE1 appeal.

        Caleb Williams Still Out Wednesday

Bears QB Caleb Williams (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday. He's unlikely to make it back for this weekend's game vs. the Jets. HC Ben Johnson said he knows what "direction" he's going at QB this week but didn't give any more clues. QB Case Keenum played well in Monday night's win over the Eagles, but Johnson pointed out afterward that QB Tyson Bagent won the No. 2 job in camp. We're tentatively projecting Bagent to start vs. the Jets but will keep you posted on the situation.

Jalen Coker & Xavier Legette Out Wednesday

Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad) did not practice on Wednesday. He reportedly dodged a serious injury last week, but we're not expecting him to play vs. the Lions on Sunday night. WR Xavier Legette (knee) was also sidelined on Wednesday after missing last week's game. Carolina could be down to Brycen Tremayne as No. 2 WR against Detroit.

Jaylen Wright Gets In Limited Practice Wednesday

Dolphins RB Jaylen Wright (stinger, foot) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He missed last week, but the Wednesday practice gives him a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. Ollie Gordon dominated backfield work by necessity last week after De'Von Achane exited, but this figures to be a committee backfield on a bad offense when Wright is healthy.

        Bucky Irving Limited Wednesday

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving (glute) was limited in Wednesday's practice. His final touch last week came early in the fourth quarter, but he wasn't announced with an injury during or after the game. The limited workout today should have Irving on track to play vs. the Packers this weekend, but we'll keep you updated on his status.

Nico Collins Back At Practice Wednesday

Texans WR Nico Collins (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. Week 4 has looked like his likeliest return date for a little while now, and he appears on track to play vs. the Cowboys on Sunday. We'll keep you updated on Collins' status over the next few days. He'll carry elevated risk but also tons of upside if he plays this weekend.

        Lamar Jackson Limited Wednesday

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (back) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He was allowed to speak with the media before the workout, and HC Jesse Minter said afterward that Jackson is "dealing with something small." It doesn't sound like he's in any danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Titans. We'll let you know if that changes.

Tony Pollard & Tyjae Spears Out Wednesday

Titans RBs Tony Pollard (foot) and Tyjae Spears (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Robert Saleh said he's not concerned about either guy's availability for this weekend's game vs. the Ravens, but we'll keep an eye on them over the next few days. Pollard is an unexciting RB3 option in that one. Spears should be parked on fantasy benches.

Commanders TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) was limited on Wednesday, his first practice since going down in the opener. We'll see if Okonkwo makes it back for Sunday's game vs. the Colts, but he won't be a recommended fantasy play coming off the hamstring.

        Rachaad White Out Wednesday

Commanders RB Rachaad White (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through this issue last weekend vs. Seattle, which would typically mean that he'll be able to play this week. But it's worth noting that Washington added RB Austin Ekeler, who has a similar pass-catching skill set to White. We'll see if he gets back on the practice field tomorrow.

Puka Nacua Expected Back For Week 4

Rams HC Sean McVay told reporters Wednesday that he expects WR Puka Nacua to play vs. the Eagles this weekend. Nacua has been out since the opener with hip and/or groin trouble that has impacted his explosiveness. We'll track his practice participation throughout the week and look for reports on how close to 100% he'll be on Sunday. But an active Nacua would be nearly impossible to leave out of fantasy lineups.
